Who: Elize Lutus & YOU?
Broadcast: Fleetwide
Action: SS Huntress (or whatever ship that Elize winds up being invited to)
When: Now - October 4th
Umm... hello, everyone.
[ The broadcast opens up with Elize sitting in her personnel room. Some drawings done by her and Cole can be seen hanging on the wall in the background, along with a little painting of pink flowers. On the desk is a small stack of even more paintings. Very rarely does Elize broadcast her own fleet wide posts on her own will. She finds it somewhat easier to speak one-on-one on other posts, not so much when it's broadcast to a fleet of people.
The little girl has her hands propped on her lap, shifting uncomfortably in her chair. Her cheeks are slowly turning a faint red as she records herself. She'd prefer not to make any posts, but she feels it needs to be done at this time. ]
Some of the Huntress crew went back home. My friend, Shirley, too. She left behind these paintings that she got from the previous planets and stations, I think?
[ She lifts one of the art pieces from her desk to show it off. Looks like it might be a painting of some sort of plant from a different planet...? Who knows. ]
I thought I should share these. I think Shirley would like it if I did that. [ And it's something for everyone to remember her by. ] If anyone wants one, you can visit the Huntress or if you want, I can go to you. Just let me know.
[ That's about all she wanted to say. She gives a little wave goodbye to the camera, then ends the recording. ]

Does it scare you? That I used to be a templar?
no subject
...I already knew for a long time that you used to be a templar.
[ Months ago, on the day she first met Cole and he read her mind. Back then she trusted Cullen and she still does. Why should she be scared now? ]
no subject
I wasn't always the best person I should, or could have been. But you know you always come first with me.
[Mage or not.]
no subject
[ She's not really properly able to compare who he is now to who he was before. But who he is now is what matters the most. Of course she always says good things about him. ]

It's the truth.
no subject
And you, you're the best person I know.
no subject
Really?
no subject
[He sneaks in a kiss to her cheek despite the wriggling.]
I know you're going to grow up to be an amazing young lady.
no subject
I want to grow strong and become like my friend, Milla! And like Jove, too.
no subject
I'll never have to lift my sword or shield again with you and Jove around.
no subject
That's fine. I'll protect you!

[ No having to deal with being locked up in a tower or anything. She'll be protected. But it's still a big "if" she can return with him. ]

Skyhold is safe. You'd have your own room, much bigger than the ones on the ships.
no subject
Can you tell me more about Skyhold? It must be a really big place...
no subject
[She'd love all the flowers.]
no subject
Where's your room located? You'd visit me a lot, right? And we can spend time in the garden together.
no subject
And of course I'd visit you a lot. Every day. I wouldn't bring you to Skyhold just to leave you on your own.
no subject
[ Honestly, she might feel rather disappointed. She's trying to be good and understanding! At least she trusts him enough that she believes he won't leave her on her own for very long. Not like what Jiao had done. ]
no subject
You'd be considered my daughter. [He's carefully vague to say by whom--he's seen her as such for some time now, and surely there would be gossip in Skyhold about Elize being there and under his watch. But he can imagine that over time that's what she'd be known as.] We'd make time.
no subject
[ Elize quietly repeats the words softly to herself, sounding almost in disbelief. ]
...You'd be fine with that?
[ It feels like a silly question to ask, already having an idea of what sort of answer he'd give her. She had already been saying that he's "like a father" for some time. But it wouldn't just be "like a father" anymore. Cullen would really be her father.
Looking up with wide eyes, it's like she's making sure she isn't dreaming about being called his daughter. ]
no subject
I'd be honored. Assuming you'd be fine with me being your [his throat tightens a little] father.
[A daunting title, but really... what would change?]
no subject
[ The word is spoken slowly, trying to get used to it and let it roll off her tongue naturally. Are those tears welling up in her eyes? Those are definitely tears. She quickly lowers her gaze. ]
Father... I have a father...
[ Feeling the tears slowly stream across her cheeks, she reaches up to cover her face. She probably looks upset at a glance, but really, she feels overwhelmingly happy. She has a father. ]

Elize--
[Oh, this is just about one of his biggest mistakes in recent memory. He doesn't know what to say or do or if he should hug her or--]
I'm--sorry. You don't need to call me that, or even--please, forget I said anything.
