[Hello, Fleet, there's a fearsome-looking suit of armor peering at the screen- though right now only one of his eyes is visible.]

So this is like a telephone or a radio, right? Except there are pictures and words on it, too! I really like it!

I'm Alphonse. Uh, don't mind how I look- I wear armor for protection. [Al wasn't under any delusions that he'd be able to keep the fact that he was hollow inside a secret for very long- he never seemed to be able to- but he was going to try.]

Brother, are you here, too? Major Miles? ... Winry?

[Action, on the Marsiva]

[There wasn't much Al could to do make himself look less conspicuous- he'd accepted that long ago- but here, in this unfamiliar place, he wished more than ever that he could. The Homunculi had eyes and ears everywhere in Amestris, and he had to be working under the assumption that they were here, too. He could only hope that they wouldn't be putting any innocent people in danger trying to find him.

He was also worried about Edward. He knew his brother would be fine in the storm, watched over by Major Miles, but what would happen to him afterward? And what about Winry, May, and Dr. Marcoh? He could care less about Scar, but he'd gone out to try and warn them that Briggs was unsafe, and now there was nobody to deliver that message.

Of course, if he kept blacking out... if this was it, if his soul was going to let go of his armor body... he might not have been able to get to them himself anyway.

Al let out a sigh. At least the view was pretty. Stars were everywhere.]

[Hello there, suit of armour. Meet alien girl. Ahsoka pops up on the screen and waves.]

Hey! Finally, someone else on this ship! At least, I think we're on the same ship, based on your broadcast.

I'm Ahsoka.

What, they let you keep your armor? How'd you manage it?

[THAT IS SO UNFAIR. If this guy has a weapon, too, he's filing a complaint with management.]

[Al holds the phone back a little bit from his face so he can get a better look. This girl probably isn't human- unless she's some sort of performer wearing makeup? But she doesn't look like any Homunculus he's seen, either. Interesting.]

Hi, Ahsoka! Are there more ships? I'm still where I was when I first got taken here, since there doesn't seem to be a way out.

Am I not supposed to have it? I'm not sure how... or how I got here in the first place, to be honest.

[Ahsoka shrugs.]

Not totally sure myself, but apparently.

And yeah, me too. Hang on, I'm going to try and find you.

Okay! I'm sitting in front of a window... [He waves the device around to show his surroundings.]

[She waves a hand.]

It's okay. I can find you using the Force. It's faster. This ship is huge, and all the rooms look the same anyway.

[And before Al can ask any further questions, she switches off the video to go running down corridors scanning for life signs in the Force again.]

Whoa. [That's one hell of a Titan, Cayde thinks as he sees Alphonse. He makes no attempt to hide how impressed he is when he gets closer.]

I bet you have the Cabal running at the sight of ya.

[Al can't help but stare as he's approached. His first thought was he would have loved to be stuck in smaller armor- but he had to make do with what he had.

He tilted his head to one side.]

I don't think I know about any cabals.

Whoa, really? You can find me just like that?

[But there's no further response from Ahsoka, so he gets up and listens for the sound of an approach.]

Ahsoka?

[Okay, that voice is the opposite of what he's expecting and he can't help but take a more considerate look at Alphonse.]

I mean, do we really know any of then before we're putting a bullet in their heads?

Forgive me, but you sound a little young to be, well. [He makes a general motion to the armor.] Not that I doubt your abilities; it takes all kinds, but how are you filling that out?

[The video is answered fairly promptly, responded to by a woman in full plate armor, with cat ears. You know, in case this wasn't weird enough.]

You need not keep such protection, should you desire otherwise. Aboard that ship, or the ship that is your destination, naught will bring you harm.

Oh! [Al's mind is working quickly, trying to find some excuse...] Well, that's good to know. I'll be sure to get it off once I have some place to store it. [And then, a deflection tactic.] So I'm going to be moving to another ship soon? Ahsoka mentioned there were others...

I would advise to at least keep it until you are moved, lest it not follow you.

That is correct. One of this fleet, with no known way to return to the Marsiva.

Er, well- [Al gave a nervous laugh.] People do say I'm gifted for my age. I'm not in the military like my brother is, but I still can use alchemy and martial arts well. My teacher beat into me how important it is to keep sharp and keep practicing.

I would hate to lose it, even if I don't need it any more.

But that's exciting! I didn't even know it was possible to go into space, let alone that there were whole fleets of ships out there.

Heh, sounds like a guy I know.

[He can only imagine how stoically excited Zavala would be to get his hands on a soldier like this. Normally he would have asked if that's who the kid meant, but he's getting the impression he ain't in the same universe he left.]

So you do a lot of fighting, then? Tourney stuff or are you battle tested war machine?

I guess you could call me a war machine of sorts... [Al rubbed his chin, wondering how much he should elaborate. He had yet to see any sign that the Amestris military was here, or the Homunculi, and logically they wouldn't be able to get to him in space... but that didn't mean one of them hadn't come here with him.] Well, before I go on, I should ask first where you're from. [If this man was also from Amestris, it would be easier to understand- but he knew precious little about Aerugo, Drachma, Xing, or any of the other surrounding countries. Would they have any frame of reference for living under what was essentially a military dictatorship?]

I was unaware of such fleets myself. The universe seems ever larger than I last thought.

[She's not quite sure where to call him- he sounds like a child, but he has the build of a Roegadyn brick shithouse, possibly one who eats other Roegadyns to obtain their size for himself. So, better to err on the side of assuming him older, she thinks.]

Well, it's not like it's up to me. Just seems kind of unfair, I guess. A-anyway, you're not the only one who's clueless about the how. Nobody around here knows that I've heard.

[It takes Ahsoka a while. It's a big ship, after all. But it's also a big ship with few discernible life forms on it. So after about five to ten minutes, Ahsoka pops her head through the door to where ever Alphonse is.]

Hey! Found you.

Heh, I get it. Can't be too trusting. I'm from Earth, really the only place left you can be from that's not the Reef or Darkness.

Like a telephone or radio... [She laughs.] It is pretty cool, huh?

Pretty much on the telephone thing, except more magical-slash-technological.

[That's some pretty serious armour, dude. ]

Soooo are you a member of some royal guard or something? With the armour, I mean.

Wow, that's one old-fashioned set of gear. Bet it takes forever to shine.

I haven't met anyone with those names yet, but I'll keep an eye out. In the meantime you're probably going to make a lot of new friends.
