Happy Halloween, everyone. We're lacking in scary movies and haunted houses around here, and any attempts at trick or treating are bound to be a bust. Which leaves us with that old classic, scary stories.

That means it's pass-along-story time! For the unitiated, that means that each person replying adds one sentence to the story. Free-for-all rules, reply as much as you want, as often as you want. Try to keep flashbacks to a minimum. I'll start us with an old classic.

This is where a story happens. In theory.

It was a dark and stormy night - the darkest and the stormiest that the little village had seen in a great many years.]

The wind whipped at the trees and rain beat endlessly at the shutters of the buildings, but nowhere was it as violent as around the dark cave at one end of the graveyard.

There were rumors, of course, that the graveyard was haunted, but the intrepid (and intoxicated) group of teenagers didn't care.

They didn't believe the rumors, and they were earlier told by a smiling man that there was treasure at the end of the cave.

[Vash wasn't a big fan of scary stories, but this seemed like a lot of fun.]

Of course, the man had added, it was theirs for the taking if they could survive the night which no one has ever stayed the night and lived to tell the tale before!

but good thing they had lots of awesome friends to help out and big guns and swords and a plasma arc and sergeant niels gave them a motherfucking flamethrower because flamethrowers are fucking boss as fuck!!!!

Hands full with their new weapons, the teens made it noisily through the graveyard, attracting the attention of many creatures.
