[ and the audio clicks off, but a few seconds later on again, ]

If anyone knows how to remove these implants, I would be doubly grateful.

[ Nyssa is prowling about the ship, peering into empty or unlocked rooms, in the common areas. There must be something here she can appropriate as a weapon. Her bow isn't enough. ]

[ When she finds nothing, she returns to the gym, and can be found in her League uniform (sans weapons), either meditating or going through sword kata. ]

I think the truth is a complicated thing. So's this place.

Some truths are simple, perhaps deceptively so, but simple nonetheless.

I wouldn't say impossible. Just excruciating and leading to certain death, at the moment. But at least you'd know you died yourself.

[Good. Someone who gets it. There's an audible smile in her voice.]

Just appreciating your enthusiasm, Nyssa. Plenty of other people here who'll fall right over themselves to teach you everything you need to know about space, recent fleet events, and their entire life stories, though, if you're interested.

[ She huffs an amused sound. ]

It's the way of the outside world. Which is better, I'm not certain. I know what I prefer.

What do you prefer? Aside from not being kidnapped and caged, which I can absolutely get behind.

[Well. Doesn't she look dramatic. Natasha's video switches on a second later, showing someone in a much more boring outfit, if no less dangerous-looking. Something about the eyes. The set of her shoulders. Despite the need for a haircut.]

[The tiniest shift of an eyebrow precedes the next statement.]

Well, you're definitely visible.

[ Nyssa knows sharpness before she knew how to walk and talk. She inclines her head slightly downwards, in a small nod, the only outward gesture of respect. ]

It's impractical, but there seems little point in hiding here.

[That little nod is returned in the same degree. In her experience, you don't wear an outfit like that if you can't back it up.]

Guess that depends on your goals.

[ With a smirk, ]

[That quiet huff is almost a laugh.]

Maybe on the second date.
