02 | video + action | i'm dreaming of a white christmas...
Who: Isaac Lahey & Davesprite
Broadcast: fleetwide; action/network for the Marsiva
Action: Marsiva
When: morning of the 15th.
[ when the feed flickers on, it takes a second for the video to adjust. when it does, there's no one there, but instead the corridors and entryways of the Marsiva are covered in streams of white. the floors are covered, every pillar and doorway, every window frame, chair, table, potted plant, whatever -- literally everything is covered in white. the whole field of view is streams upon streams of white.
upon closer inspection? toilet paper. countless rolls of toilet paper, strewn about to fill every possible surface. chances are, anyone who steps out of their room will find they are met with a fluffy white sea of quilted toilet tissue. it's only a shame it doesn't stick to the walls or it might well be there, too. in some corners the cardboard tubes are stacked up in different shapes, one stack of them, set up in the middle of the room, looks like someone might have been trying to bowl with them. it's a 7-10 split.
finally, the video swivels and shows the face of a young man, Isaac Lahey. ] So I know most of the glitching has been pretty bad, but yesterday I found this panel, had all of these buttons and... well, this happened. I mean, we found a storage closet. We being, me and Davesprite. Thought we'd do some redecorating. There's more to do -- this place is huge -- and if we're going to be trapped here by this maybe evil maybe good spaceship crew, we should at least enjoy it. Kind of.
[ he snorts, looking around again. ] Tried toilet paper bowling. It's pretty easy to cheat. We have a ton more, and there's a lot of ship, so. Yeah. [ the camera turns again to a substantial pile of toilet paper rolls. ooh, look, they might even be the double rolls! ] If you get bored, anyway. We can't finish it all ourselves.
(ooc: feel free to stumble upon Isaac and Davesprite TPing! responses may come from one or both! )

Did you do this?
[ isaac jameson tobias lahey, how dare you. ]

Either way, he's caught up on the fact of omg she's mad at us.
So he just offers this totally useful and erudite remark:]
Yes...?

No, I'm pretty sure the flying space monkeys and their little bird friends did it. You know, weird things happen on space ships. [ ... Isaac Lahey, everyone, sassing a seven year old. Classy. ] Yeah, we did it, it's fun.

It's not fun when someone trips and gets hurt!
[ like she almost did earlier. ]
If you're bored, we could play a game! Like hide and seek, or Go Fish! You don't have to make things dangerous for everyone else just to have fun.

He is totally not better than this.
He's perplexed when she calls it dangerous, to be perfectly honest. Like. It's toilet paper and wet floors are totally worse in terms of hazards. Which is why he shoots Isaac a bemused look and a slight shrug, unsure of what to do.]
No one's gonna get hurt messing around with toilet paper. [It isn't mean—it's honestly pretty gentle for him—but he's firm about it.] Besides, if someone trips and falls, it's probably better they've got a little bit of cushioning to land on.

[ because seriously, no little kid is going to ruin his fun. he looks nonplussed, tossing a roll of toilet paper back and forth between his hands. ]
I mean, hide and seek with toilet paper could be fun. TP a hideout. Or toilet paper tag. We sort of tried that one before. These things can get thrown pretty easily.
[ but also seriously, who is taking care of this kid? ] But maybe we should just get back to regular TPing?
no subject
eventually, she pouts and gives the folded up toilet paper back to them. ]
Okay... [ the word is dragged out a little with a sigh. ] I'm sorry for bothering you.
[ you can go back to your regularly scheduled tping, she guesses. it's not like they're doing it for the sake of hurting people, and she supposes that there are worse things to trip on. ]

C'mon. Give it a shot. I guarantee it's not that sinister of an activity.
