[ He's dealt with a lot of torturous noises in his life, but this one may actually take first place. His face is scrunched in annoyance as he searches for the source to make it stop. Oh. Look, it's her.

If you need something to smash it with, he is pretty handy when it comes to bashing. ]

« What are you doing? »

[ Why do you do this, Natasha? ]

[She replies in the same language, not even thinking about who might be listening.]

Trying to make it stop. You have a hammer?

[Perhaps a not so choice selection of words, but still apropos. She doesn't retract them, still fiddling with buttons.]

« A hammer isn't necessary. »

[ He simply holds out his left hand, palm up. Who needs a hammer when you have a nearly-indestructible fist? ]

[He's welcome to try. The thing seems pretty damn tough, though. In fact, as he squeezes, it only sounds faintly distressed, finally stopping its singing with a faint creaking. Natasha perks up at that. Just a little.]

There. That's better.

[ Winter offers her a nod, holding the offending item back out to her. With the amount of force he'd exerted, it should have been nothing but parts. Interesting.. ]

[She takes the now silent device back with a small nod, pocketing it and looking up at him.]

Keeping busy?

[She hasn't seen much of him, lately. Not since that night in his calibration room.]

I've been trying to catch up.

[ There's been so much that he's missed, books had seemed like the easiest thing to start with. Also the least intimidating. ]

[She slips the comm back into her pocket, tensing momentarily as it beeps again, threateningly.]

There are worse noises.

[ He looks down either hall, then back to her. These halls are winding and he hates having anyone at his back. He's sure she's the same. ]

[She can't argue. Also recognizes his uneasiness, which she does share; she's just gotten better at hiding it.]
