Things keep slipping away. Has anybody found a way to record them that keeps? Because it's hard to investigate things when your memories of them are wiped clean the next day...

[She seems distracted, distant.]

Also, I asked our hosts why I was brought here, but I'm not sure if they're being sincere or not. [She snorted derisively.] Apparently people find it adorable that I'm insecure. Who knew?

Marsiva

[Jennifer, of course, is investigating the laboratory, as she's done every day since she's discovered its appearance. But nothing- even making marks in the dust- lets her retain what she's looked into the previous days, and it's starting to get to her.

What was real and what wasn't any more? She wasn't sure. Being stir crazy and away from being able to do her actual job definitely wasn't helping.]

[Anybody who runs into Jennifer will find her quieter than usual. She'll seem distracted, unfocused, restless, and will be found working out, poking listlessly at a meal, or otherwise being unable to keep to one thing for long.]

Now see, this is where we could use someone with ... ah, what is that word, 'hacking'? Hacking. Yes. Someone who can hack into their informational systems. Of course then we would have to have a ... ah ... terminal. Computer terminal, not the meaning that someone would be deceased.

Yeah, I understand. That's beyond my skillsets, but surely SOMEONE here has to be good at that kind of thing.

I must say, all of this jargon is unbelievably complex. [Tyrion exhaled softly.] How do you modern people recall it all, is quite beyond me.

I wonder about that sometimes myself. The human brain has quite a big capacity for knowledge, though, and I suppose if you grow up knowing those kinds of words, it's second nature to you.

I suppose it is -- and I suppose I should be grateful I am a tiny man with a large head, so I might take more than my fair share of it.

Knowledge is power, after all- and if you're unfamiliar with this world's technology, it helps to get as much as you can.

Ah, a lady who understands the most simple tenant in all the worlds. Knowledge is, in fact, power. And I intend to have as much knowledge as possible.

I've always been of the opinion that you can never stop learning, and in a place like this... one of the things I can do to help people is share what I know.

[The "dear lady" thing makes her blush the tiniest bit, and she smiles shyly.]
