Has everyone gotten used to the new setups for the ships yet? Personally, I'm just glad to be able to get back to work. The Marsiva was a bit of a vacation, but I always feel a bit uncomfortable if I'm not able to be doing something to push forward. Is there anyone else like that?

More importantly than that, eveyrone, look at what's changed for the Golden!

Personally, I think it's kind of cute! It kind of reminds me being backstage too, so the Golden feels a lot more comfortable now. So, what does everyone else's ship look like? What do you think about it?

Here on the Windrose, the ship seems to have downsized a bit. However, we were given more portholes to compensate.

It does seem a bit cramped, yeah. The ship seems a bit darker, too... But that really is an amazing view! I suppose they reduced the lighting since there's more windows now?

Well, natural light's probably better for people anyways, so it's probably fine.

It does seem that way, yes. Our maintenance officer is looking into it, and I do have several other lighting options available. [He swings the video over closer to the large tank in the cargo bay, which has not only kelp growing in neat rows but a few glowing fish residents, souvenirs of the beach planet.]

We may see if we can acquire additional light sources at the next stop, as well. At the very least, the kitchen and the bridge need to be fully lit.

Yeah, those seem like the places where you need to be especially careful, after all. Accidents in the kitchen and bridge can be fully dangerous, and it's hard enough figuring out what everything does even with proper lighting...

They really don't have proper lighting in there? That's kind of worrying.

I don't have a problem with it personally, but low light conditions could indeed cause accidents. On the other hand, I expect once we find another planet we'll have excellent views of it.

Your ship's design is rather more artistic. Are you still able to fit everything into those closets?

There's no problem there for me, I've been working with closets like this for years!

I also haven't exactly bought a whole lot, so it's not like I have much to store either. And for what I do have... Well, that's what the cubbies are for.

I find that to be an excellent philosophy. Storage space is limited, after all.

Your ship also looks decorative, now. Perhaps we should add some color as well.

Do ship changes happen often?

Well, it happens more often than one would expect, but it's never actually been on this scale before. Usually it just adds or removes rooms based on how many people there are in the crew and what their jobs are. This is practically a complete overhaul, though.

How did the changes happen? Do they dock ships for reconstruction?

Color helps a lot in making things more comfortable, yeah. I might have to see if we can get some paint so I can do a bit more customizing, but I want to make sure it's not going to end up spreading paint fumes through the entire ship before I do anything like that.

They... don't seem to dock, actually. Well, they might have this time, but we can't really tell since they brought us all aboard the Marsiva before whatever they did this time. Still, the new rooms always seem to already be there whenever someone's added to the crew.

[But then there's that stuff on the Marsiva to consider...]

...It's possible that the rooms appearing and disappearing have actually been there the whole time, and the augments are actively preventing us from seeing them unless they're "active"? It's hard to be sure of it, but that would seem to make the most sense.

They don't seem to need to dock for the upgrades we purchase though, and some of those change the shape of the ship, so there are still quite a few mysteries about how these ships work.

Rooms just appearing? Maybe someone with super speed was in charge of construction here. Genos has fixed the sizable holes that ended up in his teacher's ceiling and sidewalk before—it's uncommon, but not impossible.

Let's be real, whoever does it could make a lot of money. Maybe that's how this is funded. ]

That's... definitely possible, since this is space and all, but it's hard to be sure. After all, none of us have ever managed to see any of this construction happening.

Where can I find out more?

Sadly, there isn't really a centralized spot for information yet as far as I know, though a few people have spoken about doing so. For the time being, the best option is simply to go further back through the network, but it's hard to be sure how helpful that actually is... The official Atroma documents are relatively easy to find, though their usefulness depends on what you're after.

Aside from that, asking questions is a good way to find out more, too! People are pretty here for the most part!
