[ The video feed clicks on, and she's squinting into the camera until she's sure it's working - then, she sits back with a soft smile and a nod of her head. ]

Ahh, looks like I'm the newbie here! Hello everyone. It sure is a lot to take in - I'm suddenly in space, all by myself, no idea how I got here... Oh, but I figured some things out just watching the broadcast! Not enough, probably. [ Shrug~ ] I'll try not to ask too many questions, I promise~

This big ship is so... quiet. So, isn't there anyone to talk to out there? I'm Kotoha.

[ Suddenly, her eyes flash green. She sticks out her tongue, and it sparks with electricity. ]

Shortcut: Flower!!

[ Out of nowhere, there's now a beautiful white flower in her hand. She holds it near the camera, like she's offering it to whoever is watching, and she does this with a grin and a wink! ]

Yeah, I can see how that would be a problem... especially if you have to be precise in describing something.

[He nods.]

Of course, rules don't work the same everywhere, you know? So maybe you really can just take stuff from nowhere. And even in my world, equivalent exchange isn't ironclad one hundred percent of the time.

[ She nods. ] So, there's a little bit of wiggle room with it... I see! Your world's alchemy sounds fascinating!

Ah, can I ask you something? [ Small pause. ] What's your name? And, why are you wearing a full suit of armor? Is it dangerous where you are right now?

It's very interesting- and useful! Brother and I have been studying it since we were kids.

[There's a bit of a hesitation, but Al had committed himself to honesty here, so-] I'm Alphonse. This armor is actually my body, believe it or not... my real flesh and blood body still exists, but I can't access it right now.

[ She's not entirely unfamiliar with the concept of such displacement. ]

Sorry if that was too personal - I didn't even realize! [ She bows her head a little. When she looks up for the camera again, though, she's still smiling softly. ] Still, it's very nice to meet you, Alphonse.

Don't worry about it! I try to be open about my body... because I'm sure it would get out somehow, even if I tried to keep it a secret. I don't like deceiving people.

Yeah, and I like hearing about the different sorts of magic and alchemy and science people have in our worlds. I want to learn new things as much as I can for the rest of my life.
