luckily (un...luckily...???) for you all, weiss has done her Research and has chosen the best possible ice breaker the multiverses can find! ]

With the crews back in their vessels and all systems supposedly in order, I thought now would be the perfect time to engage in a good old fashioned ice breaker.
We all come from different worlds, after all, with various experiences under our belt, yet we are all together put in this position, for better or for worse.
So why not try and get to know each other better?
Of course, with distance now an inhibiting factor, it makes things a little more difficult...
But worry not! For I've found a game that will work just as fine through text, with some slight modifications.
The rules are simple enough — anyone is free to make an honest declaration at any time. If any of the statements apply to you, you simply respond with a brief explanation of how.

Close, yes. A temple. *The* Temple, actually.

Which temple is that?

The Jedi Temple, on Coruscant. Usually when someone from my world says "the Temple," that's the one they're referring to.

I mean, there are other temples scattered around the galaxy, but... they're more like sites of spiritual significance than anything else. Nobody actually lives there.

[There's a pause. Because you know, Clay had told him all about the plot of Star Wars Episode I - III when he hadn't been feeling well. Jedis, Coruscant, Jar-Jar- the whole nine yards. It was an over hour long endeavor, retelling those movies dramatically and with funny voices. It was nerdy, but very endearing.]

[So you know what you don't expect after you hear a retelling of a sci-fi movie trilogy from your boyfriend?]

[For someone to start talking like they come straight out of that sci fi movie, that's what. So it's a good thing this is text, because holy shit what is going on here.]

Wow...that sounds really impressive! If you're from the main temple of a Order that spans across galaxies!

What are the Jedi like?

Well... they're peace keepers. Negotiators, diplomats, defenders of those who can't defend themselves.

They're exactly like knights. I mean. It's right there in the title. Jedi Knight.

It is a big job, but Jedi are trained from infancy, just about. So they're more than up to the challenge.

[A little worrying that kids don't really get a choice in the matter, but hey! Culture man. At least he's feeling better about this the more he talks to Clay about this whole...Star Wars being real thing.]

Do you like being a Jedi?

Oh. Sorry, I should have clarified.

I'm not a Jedi anymore. But to answer your question-- yes, I liked being a Jedi.

[In fact, if Allen scrolls back through this conversation, he will find that there is no inference of Ahsoka currently being a Jedi. Just that she grew up in the Temple. All nouns referring to the Jedi are also written as "they", not "we."]

... Something like that.

It's a long story. But the short version is that my own personal value system and that of the Jedi Council's were at odds. Rather than stay and fight for something I didn't believe in, I chose to leave.

Thanks. I think most people do. Leaving was hard, but... I think staying would have been harder.

Yeah...even if it's difficult, sometimes you have to make that choice.

What do you do now?

Well, I only left a couple weeks before coming here, so... at the moment? Not much, to be honest. I'm still... figuring it out.

I'm sure you'll find something though! Even if it takes some time.

Thank you. I'm sure I will, too. There's still a war going on, after all. There's plenty of work to be done.
