Who: weiss schnee and ~you~
Broadcast: fleetwide
Action: ss three twins
When: december 2nd
[ hello drift fleet who here is up for a rousing game of GET TO KNOW YOUR FELLOW CAPTIVES i mean who doesn't love a good ice breaker amirite.
luckily (un...luckily...???) for you all, weiss has done her Research and has chosen the best possible ice breaker the multiverses can find! ]
With the crews back in their vessels and all systems supposedly in order, I thought now would be the perfect time to engage in a good old fashioned ice breaker.
We all come from different worlds, after all, with various experiences under our belt, yet we are all together put in this position, for better or for worse.
So why not try and get to know each other better?
Of course, with distance now an inhibiting factor, it makes things a little more difficult...
But worry not! For I've found a game that will work just as fine through text, with some slight modifications.
The rules are simple enough — anyone is free to make an honest declaration at any time. If any of the statements apply to you, you simply respond with a brief explanation of how.
I can even start!
Ready?
[ and, yes, weiss has just started an online drinking game, look she's not making these rules up, pls play that portion at your own discretion ahem ]

( ooc; feel free to go wild and create your own toplevels, threadjack, the whole nine yards...! )

And that's almost impressive. Wish I could say the same.
[His non-alcoholic drink of choice is black tea with milk - hey, it still counts!]

[He may need to take him up on that offer, too. Typing is becoming slower and more challenging by the minute.]
what's on your rap sheet?
text
Mostly for stuff in Tokyo and Germany. Right before the invasion, there was some unrest - and while we got it under control, the local cops didn't agree so much.
[This is all public knowledge on his home world, so he sees very little point in making it private. People know his face back home, and not necessarily for the reasons he'd like.]
text
you know sometimes I think I forget that non-rationed water is A Thing
p.s. yikes. what were you doing to quiet down unrest that got the cops angry with you anyway
text
The short version: my Earth had guardian creatures to defend it in the case of alien invasions. Local governments thought they were menaces, and us trying to protect them didn't always end well. Still can't believe an actual invasion happened, and I lived through it.
text
so you're a guardian creature? is that some kind of superhero deal, or . . . ?
text
So each continent had a creature designated to protect it. Asia had a Kappa, North America got some snake-creature, etc. People like me were supposed to protect THEM. We didn't always do a great job, which is how I ended up on the wrong side of the law.
I know it sounds crazy, but it got pretty weird last year.
text
in the last couple of years I've seen the living dead and been kidnapped into an outer space reality show
I think my high point for 'weird' is up there by now
text
[Not really alive, but you know, he'll take immortality for 200.]
It's never going to get any less weird, huh?
text
until you realize that you don't think a weird thing is weird any more. that's a special moment right there.

Some days, I still boggle at us being in outer space.
