[If you've been in the fleet for awhile you might have seen one of these broadcasts before. Allen appears to be in the Blue Fish lab, standing behind a table. Behind him Timcanpy sits on a shelf, this time wearing a small Santa hat. Allen seems to have a smile on, but for the observant it might seem a bit more staged than normal]

Hello everyone! For those who don't know me, I'm Allen Walker, I'm one of the medics aboard the SS Blue Fish. Which I must say, I'm quite glad to be back on the Blue Fish after the last couple months we've had.

Just a couple announcements today! We'll be holding our bi-monthly blood drive next weekend! The blood donated will be kept in case of medical emergencies that require a blood transfusion - in other words, using scientific methods to help someone whose lost a lot of blood. If you are interested in donating, we will pay you in money. Just fill out the form attached to this video. [And sure enough, the form is attached]. If you're interested in volunteering at the drive, we'd welcome the help, just let me know.

And yes, as always, there will be cookies and juice for anyone who donates.

[Alright, that's done, moving on now]

Secondly, it's come to my attention that during this time of year, many worlds have special holidays: Christmas, Hanukkah, Winter Veil, Hearth's Warming Eve, New Years and probably others I haven't heard of yet. There's nothing wrong with choosing to celebrate them even though we are far from home. If anything, it might help people feel a bit better about being here. No matter where you are or what you celebrate- it stands true that a holiday spent with the people you cherish can be truly magical.

[There's a beat as he smiles at the camera, then he continues on in the same chipper manner:]

That said, please be careful of any holiday decorations that may actually be magical, because in some worlds' traditions that's a good way to wind up kissing your crewmates. And if you choose to spend these holidays drinking, please remember to eat and stay hydrated. You'll thank yourself in the morning.

It's mostly for injuries- ones that cause a lot of blood loss?

A person can die from losing too much blood, but if we can get them a transfusion, they stand a better chance of surviving.

[ she sounds almost...disappointed, it seems. ] Thank you, ser, for the explanation.

[He's curious about it, but he's not about to pry. She sounds like she's from an older time period and well...they tend to get odd ideas about what medics can do]

Nothing else, for now. [ a beat. she wonders if she should leave it at that -- talking any more might lead the maester to ask if she would give her blood for someone else. and frankly, sansa isn't prepared to sacrifice so much for anyone except for kin.

quietly: ] But I would wish you good fortune, at least, in your work.

[He hears that quiet tone. Yeah, he's not surprise she's not volunteering herself. It was common for people to view with mistrust, after all] Ah...thank you. So far it sounds like we have a promising turn out, so I have hope.

I'm sorry, I don't think I caught your name?

Sansa, Ser Allen. My name is Sansa.

[ she omits her family name -- something of a quiet litmus test for the moment. ]

Sansa?

[oh, the name is enough to spark familiarity. He seems to brighten]

Ah- you must be Bran's sister! He talks about you! It's nice to finally meet you!

You're on his ship. [ ... ] I recognized your name. I --

[ her head bobs. ] Pleasure to make your acquaintance, Allen Walker.

Ah, yeah. Sorry- I should've said so before! [nevermind he didn't know who she was until five seconds ago] I'm the first mate of his ship.

You've been so kind to him. [ her throat is tight; this isn't easy. ] I ought to thank you for that.

Think nothing of it. The Blue Fish crew looks after each other.

I know Bran mentioned wanting to have you transfer over to our crew. I'm sorry that there's been a delay with that, we just have a full crew. But we'll try to make sure there's space as soon as we can!

I crossed paths with your sister Arya as well, a long time ago and in another place like this one. [a small beat] Her wolf is huge.

[ oh, her heart cracks. ] Arya? [ and nymeria. sansa shuts her eyes and needs a moment to regain her composure. ]

Was she safe? Was she well?

...She seemed like she had been through a lot. But she was alright the last I saw her, before I left that place.

Other people looked after her and I was busy studying medicine, so I'm afraid I didn't know her too well. [He gestures to the golem behind him] But she'd like to spend time with Timcanpy and feed him.

I...I pray she was well-behaved with you, ser. [ because it occurs to her that arya can be a handful. and it's her duty to make apologies for that fact. ]

[that makes him laugh a little] Ah, yes. I'd hear tales of her trouble-making.

But she never caused any serious trouble with me. None I could recall anyway. [It's likely he just forgot it. Since really, he was a brat growing up- so he's a bit more willing to let that stuff go]

She was always difficult.

[ but for once, it's said with an odd affection. a yearning. ]
