Behind him Timcanpy sits on a shelf, this time wearing a small Santa hat. Allen seems to have a smile on, but for the observant it might seem a bit more staged than normal]

Hello everyone! For those who don't know me, I'm Allen Walker, I'm one of the medics aboard the SS Blue Fish. Which I must say, I'm quite glad to be back on the Blue Fish after the last couple months we've had.

Just a couple announcements today! We'll be holding our bi-monthly blood drive next weekend! The blood donated will be kept in case of medical emergencies that require a blood transfusion - in other words, using scientific methods to help someone whose lost a lot of blood. If you are interested in donating, we will pay you in money. Just fill out the form attached to this video. [And sure enough, the form is attached]. If you're interested in volunteering at the drive, we'd welcome the help, just let me know.

And yes, as always, there will be cookies and juice for anyone who donates.

[Alright, that's done, moving on now]

Secondly, it's come to my attention that during this time of year, many worlds have special holidays: Christmas, Hanukkah, Winter Veil, Hearth's Warming Eve, New Years and probably others I haven't heard of yet. There's nothing wrong with choosing to celebrate them even though we are far from home. If anything, it might help people feel a bit better about being here. No matter where you are or what you celebrate- it stands true that a holiday spent with the people you cherish can be truly magical.

[There's a beat as he smiles at the camera, then he continues on in the same chipper manner:]

That said, please be careful of any holiday decorations that may actually be magical, because in some worlds' traditions that's a good way to wind up kissing your crewmates. And if you choose to spend these holidays drinking, please remember to eat and stay hydrated. You'll thank yourself in the morning.

Around this time, Paradisa would have magic mistletoe that would make you kiss random people?

...Yeah, that's right. Or bells, or doves, or wreaths, or nutcrackers- it'd change every year so you couldn't easily avoid it.

Yes, that's what was wrong with being magically forced to kiss people you never would. The inaccuracy of the decorations.

[And... he grins, snickers, and then laughs, because god he loves that dry humor.]

Well, it's obvious what's actually wrong with it. But you can pick it apart even further, right?

[He sighs] People would hold competitions you know, about how many people they could kiss. And sometimes they'd grade you.

Wow, really? That must've sucked. I mean, you not wanting to do it in the first place, but then getting graded on it?

Mm, really. Some people there could be real arseholes.

He's probably heard it a few times by now, but the way he pronounces it still makes him duck his head to hide his grin behind his hand.]

Ah...yes, that's something I'm glad for. I only hope it stays that way. [And that we haven't jynxed it]

[You laugh at his "bullocks", he can laugh at your "arseholes"]

Let's both hope. [He leans in, hands on his cheeks, and raises his eyebrows.] And you can kiss me whenever you want, too, no magical decorations required.

[He laughs lightly]

Why, what a kind offer. Perhaps I'll take you up on it sometime.

Right? I don't offer that to just anyone, you know. But hey, I am going to be giving blood at this drive later, so maybe if I see you there...

[he chuckles, because he knows Clay flirts but in reality...]

Well I'm running it, so I should be there...

But, wouldn't it be better if we got dinner afterwards? When I'm not surrounded by blood and needles?

Hmm, yeah, you're right. Being surrounded by food is a better environment for kisses than blood and needles. It's been scientifically proven.

So, kisses and a dinner date?

Mm, right. Can't argue with science.

[And way better than risking Clay getting squeamish because of something that could pop up in the clinic]
