WHERE IS MY LIBRARY? Atroma! Answer me! Take back these insipid, trite gifts and bring back my books. I have been looking for a WEEK. I cannot find them anywhere!

[He can't find the library, so the next best thing is... stress cooking.

Anyone visiting the Bishop will find the kitchen absolutely loaded with food. Bear claw pastries, glitter-brushed macarons, freshly-baked or conjured bread (hard to tell the difference), coffee cake, angel food cake, buttercream, glazed cinnamon rolls, french toast, pancakes, crepes... And on the less-sweet side, there's meat buns, vegetable wraps, shepherd's pie, at least four different kinds of gourmet pizza, tomato-topped pasta, and... mac 'n' cheese. Look, he tried.

There are stacks of plates and a punch bowl for drinks. In the meantime, Belth appears to be dead.

Well, okay, not really, but he's sulking against the fridge with his own plate-- piled high with everything-- and with at least three meat buns in his mouth.]

[ Haruka refuses to react while chewing. Her face remains coolly dispassionate after she's swallowed, too, though when she exhales it's with what might be half a chuckle. ] You're the one who's possessive of the kitchen?

[ She'd heard one of the cooks could get like that. ]

[Jesus Christ she is intimidating. He's trying not to act like he cares too much, though.

The description surprises him, and embarrasses him slightly.]

[ Haruka smirks. ] It's paid off. A little.

[ Who is she kidding, that was great. She has lucked out in finding a ship where the chef can cook (even if before she got here she wonders how well the pilot could pilot).

She helps herself to a little bit more. ] There are worse ways to squander this time.

[Belthazar still has no idea. He tries not to think about it too hard. Still, the compliment makes him happy and that's plain on his face, even if he's quick to hide it.]

I spent a lot of time learning at home. The augment helps me make sense of the... tofu-like foodstuffs.

What else does it do? [ So everyone really does get a skill set to match their "role". Feeding Haruka how to pilot a spaceship was one thing, but to extend that even to the cooks.... ]

I haven't noticed anything else. It doesn't make me a better cook-- that I did all on my own.

It's possible the augment does other things. I know some people had been doing some investigating while we were trapped on the Marsiva, but I was... occupied.
