[The feed kicks in to show the latest arrival at where else? The viewing bay where rather than the empty expanse of space, there's now the view of an ice world within sight. A single figure is standing there with his hand pressed to the glass. He seems to be in a conversation already, even though he appears to be alone. His voice is deeper than what might be expected from such a young looking face.]

Do you think I care about all that? Just look at it. The entire expanse of the universe just waiting for me, as well as an entirely different planet. I always knew one world wouldn't be enough for me. The whole galaxy? Well, that might just do the trick.

[Ling, the docile observer just now, can't be too alarmed to realize Greed has gone from wanting one world to wanting a galaxy. Still... it's far more ambitious than simply one country. And you're content to let your Father go unpunished for what he's done? That's remarkably selfless of you to simply forgive and forget.]

Can it, you brat. What I do with him can wait. Right now, I just want to see what that little planet down there has to offer.

Oh, jeez. Galaxy domination. That's pretty ambitious.

[ her tone is pretty neutral. she's mostly just curious about the fact that he seems to be... talking... to himself? ]

Eh? [Greed turns from his spot at the window and only then notices the communicator. He frowns, then stalks towards it and scoops it up. A girl?]

That's not your concern. Who are you?

Well, no, it kinda is. If you're planning on taking over, at least, I mean. I mean, it is a big galaxy, but I do sorta live here and all right now.

[ she flashes him a half-smile. ]

I'm Jade. I guess you're probably new?

[He chuckles.] That's something you'll just have to learn to live with, Jade. You see, my name is Greed. As you might imagine, I want everything you could possibly think of. [He turns back to gesture at the viewing window.] And I do mean everything.

Well... that might be a little tough for you here. But that's something you'll figure out on your own, probably.

[ she cuts her eyes to the viewing window, squinting at it through the screen of her communicator. ]

It's hard to even get food that tastes like actual food here sometimes, much less like, "my very own star system."

Don't bother me with details. [He had nothing but a few henchmen before he arrived here. Now he doesn't have them, but he's confident he can work his way back up again. His confidence is unshaken.] Though I do take issue with poor quality food. Greedy that I am, I can only be satisfied with the finer things in life.

[He had always gazed at the stars, but he'd never seen them like this. There was just so much to take out there now. It might just be enough to fill that hole in his heart.]

[ lady sansa isn't an ambitious person -- but she knows ambition's sound and scent. it tickles the back of her neck and brings on a cold sweat. thrill and fear intermingle, and she a quiet voice chastises her in the recesses of her thoughts. some primordial hunch on how petyr might chide her for not thinking so boldly as this young man does.

[ maybe the young man has already gone quite mad. but she feels a pang of sympathy. alone, on the marsiva, she'd started talking to herself as well. ]

[Another voice... well, this device is pretty tedious. He doesn't care for people to know he has a secret partner that he's sharing this body with, but he's not the type to lie either. Especially not to women.]

In a manner of speaking. But there's no need for you to worry about that, right now. How about instead I introduce myself. My name is Greed. It's a pleasure.

[ her gaze narrows. evidently, she doesn't believe him -- what sort of stupid name is 'greed', after all? sansa decides that only peasants or children could be so blunt in their naming practices. ]

Well met, Greed. [ she indulges it. ] I am Sansa. [ ugh, here's the hard part. ] Of House Stark.

Super duper extra cold, soooo... wear an extra pair of socks, if you can.

[ she hesitates, because this is possibly a delicate thing to broach, but... ]

Were you talking to yourself earlier? Or do you have some kind of - [ she waves her hand vaguely ] invisible... companion...?

Well now, aren't we something special. I take it that makes you some kind of royalty. [... or aristocracy. Amestris is controlled by the military, so he doesn't pay much attention to that kind of distinction.] Though I do apologize, I don't make it a habit to do much bowing.

No one here does. [ not bitter -- merely matter of fact. the unfamiliarity of her family name in these ships has only been a boon to her. ]

Oh, that? [A chuckle.] I wouldn't call him invisible. Though if someone was to see me now, they'd think I was still talking to myself. So the distinction doesn't strike me as all that important.

[Whether it was a phone or a communicator, long distance conversations always had a way of sounding one sided.]

I'd apologize, but even I'm entitled to mingling some pride among my avarice.
