[it certainly isn't Friday anymore, but the speakers on every communicator and network station crackle to life as if it is. at first there is only the sizzle of static, and the familiar jingle comes in terribly faint at first. for the first few seconds, it's difficult to hear at all. and then, by the time Diamond is ready to deliver her greeting, the signal straightens itself out and comes in loud and clear.]

Good morning, passengers! I hope you're ready for another brisk planetside weekend. It's not often that the Marsiva stays within range of a world for so long--as she takes a big ol' right-turn in the sky! ...If you haven't tried ice skating yet, I highly recommend it.

[there is a pause where there should maybe be some cue from the audience or some other sound effect, but there is only silence this time.]

As far as this week's Shuffle goes, the only news I have to report is that the SS Tourist is buzzing with activity again--with an entirely new crew, and Captain Iko at the helm!

The rest of you better watch out, because new faces are always a fan-favorite, and now there is an entire ship of them. The rest of the fleet will have to step up their game if they want to compete. ...Though, there does happen to be at least one ship that is already doing a spectacular job on that front.

You know how the audience loves drama.

[her voice had dipped a little dark at the end there, but it hits a peak of brightness again in the next beat.]

Until next week, friends! And remember--the worlds are watching!

Who: Ella & you!
Broadcast: Audio, Fleet-wide?
Action: On Planet
When: Now

Hello? Is this working?

( Ella's keeping her voice low. Something whines near her communicator. She make a hushing sound in return before continuing to talk. )

I really hope it is... uh, if anyone's out there, do you have any... pointers... on how to escape a guard deer when you've been treed in an ice sculpture with a fox?

( Problems where children demand your assistance in rescuing their lost fox. Problems when you have to listen to direct orders. There' a loud THWACK and Ella tucks the fox in closer to her abdomen and pull her legs up while she hauls herself up another branch of the odd sculpture. There's one heck of a big moose huffing and circling this ice-carving tree-bird-angel she's climbed into. )
