one of these things is the super soldier with the busted metal arm that is brought in to be kept locked up in Coil's lab for a while. turns out those restraints he'd had installed did come in handy. that's a thing.

Anyway, when you factor in the time I spent at my last interdimensional shithole, it's been about a year and a half since I've been home. I know there's a lot of people here who have been gone a lot longer than I have, but... The homesickness just doesn't get much easier, does it? I'm even starting to miss the shitty fast food place right near my place.

Don't get me wrong, I'm happy that we're not having half the people here getting killed once a week, but... There's no goal here. We just try to get nebulous 'ratings' to win at a completely unknown 'end'. We're being fucked with constantly, and...

[She has to take a moment before she continues, taking a deep breath. Then she lifts the camera, turning it around, to show a large crate on the ground, opened. There are: A large pile of party hats and poppers, several rubber snakes and small stuffed birds, and below that, quite a large number of what look to be glass bottles. That got a lot more depressing than I meant it to. Anyway, since I've been here for a year, I got this from the 'sponsors'? The drinks taste like shit, but they're strong, so... If you want to get nostalgic and talk about your homes or whatever and try to be less homesick, or if you just want to get smashed, I guess, party on the Bishop. Everyone's invited, and people from that shitty castle have drinks reserved already.

[Alright, so technically he was warned that this might not be entirely wise, but whatever, nothing ventured, nothing gained. And the warning came from someone who hails from a world with evil inventor supervillains, and this place is totally different. It's fine. This will be just fine.

Hey, this is a general shout-out to the engineers of the fleet- not just the ones with engineering augments, but specifically people who like to experiment with tech, invent stuff, that sort of thing. Don't know about you, but I've been working mostly on my ship, and it's getting a little crowded, so I'm putting together a more official lab on the Iskaulit. It'll really barebones, but that's the point of this.

Anyone interested in contributing? We could get some tables and set up a decent workshop for more people. It might be cool to have a general area where some of us can work together, swap ideas, maybe get some experience with fields other than whatever we specialize in. I know I've got a lot to learn, and I'd like to see more of what's out there.

While I'm at it, does anyone have experience with building furniture? Or even making cushions? We're gonna need a lot for another project I'm working on.
