[Here's a face you haven't seen in a while, flooters. The shaggy dark hair, the scrawny arms, the gap in his front teeth--yep, Hiro Hamada has not actually gone home.

[He is asleep, though, it seems, lips barely parted as he takes in shallow breaths. But after a moment of this, he starts to stir. His eyes flutter open, and he squints at the ceiling. Something is wrong, here.

[This is not his ship.]

... Wh...

[His voice is a laughable croak, and he starts coughing.]

... shit...

[Language, Hiro.

[He sits up, looking around, and it starts to dawn on him that... actually, this does look a lot like the Bishop. Just... different?]

... Ohhh, crap. [There he goes, recognizing that he took one of those coma naps. He drags his hand down his face. He doesn't realize he's being recorded yet.]

Hiro!!

[Belth practically leaps out of his chair in his room and tries to scamper into the hall, but it's hard to climb a ladder very fast, and his robes are caught on his feet for NO REASON AT ALL so there's a yelp and a thump.

He'll get there. Eventually.]

[well, now he has to straighten everything up and make sure he looks presentable in the 5 seconds it will take for Hiro to get there.

[hiro is opening the hatch down to bel's room in a moment, looking down into the room for a moment to just take in the fact that yes, belthazar is here, he's okay, and he hasn't combusted from worrying about him]

[He's just pushing his chair into his (small) desk with a boot when Hiro pokes his head in. He goes over to meet the other boy, expression relieved and yet still full of concern.]

Hey yourself. How are you feeling? Should I call Adra? Have you eaten? I can make you something--

[hiro climbs into the room and cuts him off, yanking him into a tight hug.]

I'm fine... Jeez, I'm sorry...

[arcanepower]

[He blinks as he's pulled into the hug, but it works: he stops complaining and hugs him back, as tightly as if he'd left and then returned. In a way that's... what happened.]

It wasn't your fault. I was... worried, but... I woke up eventually, so I hoped you would, too.

[He finally allows himself to breathe out.]

The ship rearranged while you were asleep, and we have a few new crew members, and also the library was moved to the Iskaulit and I was not very happy about it-- but you are here, so all is well.

.. They moved our library...

[he almost sounds whiny about that, but he's not exiting the hug to be obnoxious and overdramatic about it.

[he likes that things are better for belthazar just because he's there. knowing what he does, it's soothing on his nerves.]

Told you I'd never leave. They can't make me go home.

Krista's library. But... she might have wanted it this way. The other ship is bigger.

[He's also not breaking the hug just yet, even though he gets kind of uncomfortable after a while. It's different when it's with Hiro. His heart won't stop freaking out though. He wishes it would settle down a bit.

He rests his cheek against Hiro's hair.]

I would find a way back to your world and yell at you, and I think you would not want that.

We'll have to manage it as much as we can there. It'll give us an excuse to get off the ship once in a while.

[he feels like he missed out on a lot of opportunities to goof off with bel. gluing himself to him for a minute helps make up for that, a little.

[at the comment, hiro laughs.]

I don't think you understand how much I wouldn't mind you finding a way into my world just to yell at me.

I know I have no intention of lapsing in my duties.

[So they're in agreement there... but Belth dons a strange expression, like he's trying to sound worse than he really is, because... yeah.]

Think of the havoc I would cause with my magic and my appearance. And I am somewhat familiar with Earth, so that makes it worse. I am dangerous! I would make your family regret your existence! I would travel all over and embarrass you! [How about a really bad evil laugh?]

[that makes hiro laugh, and he pulls back enough to look at him.]

You know, it's my job back home to stop evil-doers and dangerous people, magical or otherwise. If you make trouble, I'd have to hunt you down.

I wouldn't mind seeing you fight without handicaps. It's been a while since I did so myself.

[He's still wearing a mischievous expression, but it softens after a moment. He can't pretend to be a villain when Hiro's looking at him like that.

Without warning, his arms slip away from Hiro's shoulders, circling his wrists, not forcibly. He leans forward and presses his forehead to the other boy's.]

Don't scare me like that again, [he murmurs. And then, because it's Winter Veil and he's stopped giving a fuck, he rubs Hiro's nose a little in an Eskimo kiss.]

[ohhhh gosh.

[oooooooooooooohhhhhhhh gosh.

[hiro's face turns bright red, but he's beaming.]

I won't. Promise.

[he closes his eyes, taking in a deep breath before he goes to return that eskimo kiss.]

[Belth makes a surprised little 'eep' at the affection. His ears pin against his dark hair, and he is blushing too, but he doesn't care about any of that. He's just happy to have his friend back.

Might need a crowbar to separate them at this point.]
