[ she looks squarely into the network's broadcast. firm, electronic eye contact with any and all watching. ]

[ afterwards, she can be found fiddling with the comms panels on the starstruck. she isn't particularly certain of what she's doing, but it's better than being idle. and she might as well try and put her bloody awful augment to work. over the next two hours, some ships may experience odd and incomplete burst messages as she tests frequencies, filters, and broadcast capabilities. ]

And although I've nothing against a bent-to-nearly-broken rule, you do sort of need the rules to exist in the first place before you begin to exploit them.

And here I am, unable to bring myself to the precipice of leaving mine uncurled. [ it isn't that she sees no curls amid the fleet, but that patently manufactured look of a pin curl is so unlike the natural waves she does spy. ]

A silly sort of sticking point, I admit, but good fashion is its own uniform.

That's true. [She had, after all, taken on her own uniform for a good portion of her life.] But there's no point in forcin' yourself into a fashion that makes ya uncomfortable.

[ peggy laughs. ]

And here I thought being uncomfortable was the raison d'etre of most fashions.

Then that's what I call a good reason ta start your own.

[Screw high heels on a daily basis, basically.]

[ every lady needs a fine set of pumps, rogue. ]

Is that -- sorry, odd question, but...is that the story behind your hair?

[ she's curious. and she wants to believe she knows rogue well enough now to be afforded one 'harmless' question. ]

[Oh. That? No. Rogue reaches up to tug a strand of white.] This? Nah. I was born like this.

[And a little bit more, for free, because she does rather like Carter.] It's a mutation.

[ likely, the word doesn't mean the same to peggy as it does to rogue. and (because the young woman paused before she gave away that bit of intel), peggy isn't about to treat it flippantly. ]

It's a bold look. [ and one, she imagines, that could have been dyed over if rogue wasn't at least half-ways happy with the white. ] I like it.

[Well, that was nice to hear.]

And I bet a set of victory rolls would look downright knock-out with the white.

[ she smiles. she's not here to force curls on anyone -- but she'll speak her mind about them. ]
