[This sudden turn of events has left Atoli stunned. She's to be frowning near the hospital decks.  Her mind is boggled for various reasons.]

Um, can anyone hear me? My name's Atoli. I don't know what's happening. I woke up and I suddenly found myself here I--[The poor girl seems to be having trouble putting her thoughts into words. With her expression and tone it's clear that she's not taking this very well at all.]

I can't seem to remember anything from before I arrived.  I think I was supposed to meet up with my friend. I got lost afterwards. [She definitely emailed Haseo and told him to go meet up with her at the Forbidden Grounds, so why is she here? It's puzzling.]

Would someone please help me? I'd hate to be a burden, but I need to know what's going on. This isn't "The World" is it?

Kidnapped? [Atoli's just repeating her words. Does that mean that everyone on board was kidnapped too? She doesn't what to make of this at first. Her eyes blink several times in shock at the breaking news.]

That's horrible. You shouldn't do mean things to other people. [She puffs her cheeks angrily.]

[The video feed shakes wildly for a moment as she picks her communicator back up, before sending a document to Atoli.]

[Atoli receives the document and smiles a little in return.]

It's not so bad. This place is better than my last one by a long shot.

Well, it's not as selfless as you think. There's not much else to do between planets.

What kind of other activities can you do around here? I'm interested in hearing a few stories from you!

... Well, I write that, mostly. Or talk to people on the network. I got a pet on this planet, so that should help keep me occupied.

[Right after she mentions that, the head of a tiny arctic fox pops into view, sniffing at the camera, before Nightingale pushes its head back down.]

It's honestly mostly boring as hell.

You keep a pet? What is it? [Atoli seems intrigued by that one comment in particular.]

I used to have pets at home. [Three birds no less!!!] They require a lot of care and time. At least you have some company here. [She smiles happily.]

She's a fox from this planet. I named her Stratus.

[The fox pops back up into view.]

I had more at my last place, but the Atroma didn't bring any of them here. My teammate took care of them more, though.

That's a wonderful name! It's cute. [Almost too cute.]

I didn't know you could keep animals from this planet as pets. It's nice to have help every now and then.

I think normally it's a bad idea, but these things are bred as pets... and the Atroma haven't said anything to stop me yet.

Careful not to praise her too much, though, or she'll get a big head.

You know her really well. Honestly, I'm impressed. [Understanding animals is a difficult task.]

You live with three people who can talk to animals for a few months, and you start to pick a few things up.

There are people who can do that?

It sounds like an amazing ability! [Whoa. There's lots of unique people on this fleet. It makes Atoli even more curious.]

I always thought it'd be nice if you could actually speak to animals directly.

It was a bit more complicated than that, but basically. They're not here, though.

[And as much as she misses them, hopefully they'd never be here. They have more important things to do than reality TV.]

I wouldn't bother with an ability like that, though. A lot of them are assholes.

Oh, but they shouldn't be rude.

Can't you teach them manners? It'd be nice if they could get along.

[Animals getting along with humans sure sounds nice. Atoli understands why you wouldn't want to deal with it though. ]

I feel safer knowing that there are others who are in the same position as me. It'd be scarier to be here without a clue or idea of what's happening.

Well, you'd be okay regardless, I think. You're cute, people would probably be falling all over themselves to help you, even if I hadn't.
