[ The greatest tragedy about Sora arriving on Christmas is the complete lack of his Santa outfit.

...And that he doesn't know it's Christmas yet, otherwise he might be acting like a five year old on Christmas morning, ignoring the whole 'kidnapped' bit. Instead, he's acting more like a parent on Christmas morning, while ignoring the whole 'kidnapped' bit.

This consists of the keybearer staring sleepily down at his broadcasting communicator, too drowsy to show the confused enthusiasm he would otherwise or question how it started broadcasting at all. Or what is actually is.

He is way, way too used to waking up in random places with no memory of why at this point. Sometimes you just gotta go with it. ]

Can we do the whole 'hahaha I kidnapped you for my evil plans' bit later? These bunk things are comfy, and I'm tired.

I don't remember any of this. I know I took out some of the Organization recently... Demyx, Xigbar, Xemnas... Castle Oblivion doesn't sound familiar either.

[got_it_memorized]

[Axel lets out a low whistle.] Took out the big guns, did ya? Well, and Demyx. [Demyx was pretty small on the gun scale--he was about as harmless as the Organization got, really. Were Axel inclined to feel anything at all, he might have been a little sad to hear that Demyx had bitten the dust. Well, at least he wouldn't have to hear him playing his sitar at all hours anymore, right?

[He shakes his head.]

Look, I dunno why you don't remember. Maybe Naminé pushed your memories a little too hard. The important thing is that nothing that happened in Castle Oblivion really matters anyway, 'cuz everybody's gone except me. You and Riku took out everyone who was there.

Well, almost everyone. [He had to pick up a little slack.

[He threads his hands together on top of his head then.]

If Xemnas is gone, though, then I guess that makes me my own boss, now.

Wait, Namine? I know Namine! I needed to tell her thank you for some reason. It was in Jiminy's journal, when I woke up!

Well I should hope you know Naminé. [She only replaced all your memories of Kairi with memories of her instead, sheesh.] Somebody writing you notes while you're sleeping? That's a little weird. Not sure what you'd be thanking her for, but I guess whatever blows your hair back, kiddo.

[Actually, he looks a bit hangdog now, like maybe he might be a little sorry he brought this up, in that case.]

I just thought he was being a dope. [He waves a hand.] Fine, fine, I'll change the subject, sheesh. Maybe you should give me a playbook of stuff I should never mention or something.

[ he stiffens, before sighing. ]

I never said you couldn't bring it up. You should know what you're dealing with.

Well now it's awkward. I can't tease him if it's not his fault.

You're right, how're you gonna cope?

I guess I'll just have to find something else to tease him about. I'm sure I'll think of something.

[The feed cuts out for a moment when Riku interrupts, and when Axel returns, he just quirks his mouth to one side and kind of frowns.]

Well, I'm sure you'll have the opportunity at some point. She'll appreciate it, whatever it's for, even if it's late.

I hope so! And then maybe she can tell me what it is I need to thank her for.

[got_it_memorized]

[He's just so cheerful! Axel really isn't used to that. He's much more accustomed to grumpy old Saïx McLineface. Even if Roxas is really this guy's Nobody, the resemblance only goes so far, and it's gonna take some getting used to.]

So wait a second, you're from all the way in... whatever the nebulous future is, and you never met Naminé? [He rubs his chin.] Well, for what it's worth, I know she really wanted to meet you.

[He kind of hopes she does get the chance. He likes Naminé, as well as a Nobody is capable of liking anybody, and she's the sort who could really use a dose of Sora's cheerfulness, he thinks.]

Well, I kinda did! When she merged with Kairi again. But I got the note waaaay before that.

[got_it_memorized]

Merged with--? [So it's true, then... He had wondered what might happen if Kairi and Naminé ever met, or if Sora and Roxas ever met, for that matter. They merged? Creepy. He would have to make sure Roxas never crossed paths with Sora, in that case--he wasn't interested in losing his friend that way.] That's a little spooky. I wonder what happens after that...? [He's not sure he wants to think about it, to be honest.]

[clownshoes]

I'm...not really sure. I can still talk to Roxas, sorta.

[The surprise on his face is oddly plain and unmasked, and is then quickly replaced with confusion.]

Whaddaya mean you can talk to him?

[He really doesn't like the conclusion he's drawing based on context. Merged? Naminé and Kairi merged--so Sora and Roxas merged? He knows they're connected, as Other and Nobody, but... he doesn't want to think about Roxas being gone.]

[clownshoes]

[ wait. axel doesn't know, does he? he wouldn't, if he doesn't remember yen sid's tower... ]

That's...well...we ended up back together. But he can still talk to me sometimes, sort of. He was in my dream, and I even fought him once.

[got_it_memorized]

['Back together'? He makes it sound like he's dating him, not wrangling with MPD.]

Wait, wait, wait. [He holds his hands up in a Time Out signal.] Dreams, okay, I get that: you guys are kinda two halves of the same coin. But if you... [He makes a gesture then with both hands, holding them a few inches apart and then pressing his palms together.] How the heck did you fight him if you were...? [He rubs the crown of his head.] How did that even happen? [Did they have to stand in a chalk circle and chant or something? How did two people get merged together in the first place?

[He's still too baffled and shocked to even be upset about the idea that his friend is gone now. It'll hit him later.]
