The ship is not overly large and it should not take you long to orient yourself. Here is the cockpit. It is, I understand, standard to all ships in the Fleet. I don't suppose you know what augment you've received? You may have a station here.

Engineering, from the sounds of it. At least, I definitely didn't know how to fix a spaceship before I got here.

Yes. I am merely... concerned for you. This cannot be an easy transition, and likely harmful, and I dislike having to act as though this were normal. And yet, it seems partly necessary.

Not quite. The protein gel is considered a basic staple, but on the Wonderduck, at least, it does come in a variety of textures. We also have a machine that produces synthetic potato flakes, noodles, or dehydrated egg, among others.

[He leads her into the kitchen, protein-dispenser and little stove and all.]

I've been experimenting with ways to make it more varied with the flavours and textures available to us, but being a robot, I neither eat nor taste myself. I can only replicate what I know humans find palatable and see if it is to anyone's taste.

It's an interesting problem for me, and sometimes I am able to make my crewmates happy with what I produce. So, yes. I enjoy it.
