Right, my bad. [But the look on her face totally says otherwise.

Octavia goes to the chair and sits, leaning back.]

So how'd you come down with this, anyway?

[frigidaire]

Probably being on a freak alient planet with freakishly cold alien weather I don't know. I'm not supposed to get sick. I heal on the spot, colds and illnesses wouldn't stand a chance.

[ and yet here he is, whining, with the sniffles. ]

[grounds]

I don't think you said freak enough. Maybe a couple more for emphasis.

[Octavia chuckles a bit.]

I probably have a spare blanket if you want to borrow it.

[frigidaire]

Shut up.

[ she's infuriating, but she's being nice to him so he'll not throw something at her for now ]

I'm warm enough, but I'll let you know if I do. Don't want to spread my space germs. Or whatever.

[grounds]

Wow, rude.

[Not that she cares at all. She raises a brow.]

Dunno, I've been hanging around you often enough. Guess I'm good.

[frigidaire]

Or you'll get it any second.

[ he rolls his eyes at her and flops backward on his bed dramatically, tugging the covers up nearly under his chin. he's quiet for a moment before he looks over at Octavia. ]

Watch, this will be the one time we get attacked, when I can't help.

[grounds]

Then I'm taking the soup back. That's all.

[He gets a one shouldered shrug in return.]

Guess I'll have to have it covered.

[frigidaire]

H-hey! You can't just take the soup back. You already gave it to me. Offered it to me. Whatever.

[ he's about to say something else but it just comes out as a pathetic sneeze and sniffle combo. ]

I can still fight, I just might sneeze them to death, too. Don't believe me, we can spar right now if you want.

[grounds]

I'm kidding. Down boy. [Octavia holds out a hand in a 'stop' motion in a lame ass attempt to calm him a little.]

Who are you trying to convince, me or yourself? I just want to know if I should even take this seriously right now.

[frigidaire]

[ he huffs and slumps back into bed, tugging the blankets around him for warmth. ]

I mean if you want. I could probably still take you. Maybe. I've never been sick before and tried to fight.

[grounds]

Sneezing in someone's face does seem like it'd be pretty effective. Still you know the saying, right?

[Octavia stands and turns towards the hatch after she gathers the now empty soup bowls.] Let sleeping dogs lie or something like that. Get some sleep, but remember you owe me a game of hang man.

[frigidaire]

Yeah, yeah.

[ he slides down so that he's curled up completely under the covers, peering at her over the fur cover she gave him. ] I won't forget.

[ he almost seems like he's done talking when, finally, quietly, he speaks up again. ] Uh... thank you.

[grounds]

[She doesn't address that verbally, but once she's up and out of the hatch, she sticks her hand back in to give him a thumbs up. Then the hatch is closed.
