[ Well, this is clearly a ship, in space, but it's not the Ghost, or any other ship she might be familiar with. It also clearly isn't an Imperial Star Destroyer - if Hera had been captured by the Empire, she'd be really obviously in a prison cell, or worse. Plus, there are no stormtroopers in sight. So, probably not Empire, but probably not the rebellion, either.

Other than that, it could be just about anyone holding her. And she needs to get more information on the situation. A number of possibilities present themselves - she could keep her head down, sneak around, and see if she can eavesdrop it. Or she could play the wide-eyed innocent, and use this handy-dandy video link she seems to be equipped with (seriously, who gives a captive a comm link anyway?)

The comm could be some kind of trick or trap, but Hera trusts her own resourcefulness, so eventually, she flips it on. ]

Uh, hello? I think there might've been a misunderstanding of some sort, here. I've lost track of my ship - were we supposed to go through some kind of inspection?

Yeah, and neither are good options. I'd say you at least have this network but I'm not sure it helps too much. It's not like you can signal for a pick up.

On the bright side, you'll be assigned to a new ship.

[ Her assumption is probably not, and really, all she wants is to get back to her ship. The Ghost is her home, and the crew is her family. ]

Hey, if you're any kind of pilot, you can easily fly one of these.

Flying it away though, that's another question. [ He is totally willing to test it out ]

I'm not concerned about whether I'm capable. It's about whether I'll be allowed.

[ But yes, it's pretty much her first priority right now - get her hands on the controls and see what she can do with it. ]

You have free range on the ship you're assigned to. Well, as much free range as you're allowed. Where you're at now, on the Marsiva, going to the cockpit isn't even a question. Trust me, I tried.

Sounds like I've got a lot of exciting recon to do in the near future.

[ A soft chuckle. ] Yeah, good luck.

...I'd say you're kidding, but I did just speak to General Kenobi, so I'm guessing no.

[ He squints for a moment; unsure if that's a good or bad thing. ]

No, I'm not kidding. I like exciting recon missions.

[ Hera is smiling a little, though. ]

In my experience, recon is rarely exciting. Except maybe with a Jedi along.

And this has certainly been one of the weirdest days of my life.

[ He huffs a small laugh. ] You're telling me.

Well. You got your pick of Jedi here. Not as much as there are back in our universe, but there's at least four of us.

[ She knows better than to mention anything about the number of Jedi there are in her time, at least. ]

A Jedi is good to have around. My father worked with one during the Clone Wars - General Windu, I believe was his name. A good man.

[ Good thing he just thinks Obi-Wan up there is just exchanging extended pleasantries, as per usual ]

I assume that was at the battle on Ryloth. Master Windu is one of our very best. [ A beat, because he can't help himself. ] You wouldn't like to go on a recon mission with him though. He'll take all the excitement out of it.

On Ryloth, yes. I was just a little girl, but my father respected him a great deal.

The Jedi seemed pretty glamorous to me at the time. I mean, traveling the galaxy, righting wrongs, protecting people. [ She smiles. Even without Kanan appearing in her life, she's always had a pretty rosy opinion of them. Just one more thing the Emperor lies about. ]

[ He frowns. ]

A little girl? Ryloth wasn't more than a few months-- Oh, great. Time travel. You're from the future.

[ Hera gives him a wry look and a helpless sort of shrug. ]

Afraid so. It's just as confusing for me, trust me. And I think there are people from even further in the future than I am.

[ That is, if this Han Solo guy is telling her the truth. And Bail Organa's daughter, who she's pretty sure should be a lot younger. ]

Right. There are. [ His children. ] General Kenobi and Commander Tano and I are the ones that are the furthest in the past.

Kinda makes you glad there are people from other universe, not just the future.

Yes, at least the people from other galaxies have things to say that aren't so... fraught.

[ It seems less dangerous to talk to a stranger who has no idea what the Empire is, or what Jedi are. ]

[ He frowns. ] ...Right. So, anything I should know?

About the future? Is that a can of worms you want to open?

[ He considers this and remembers the words, the mantra he's been saying to himself for the last few days.

Focus on the present but be mindful of the future.

But doesn't he have a right to know?

He shoves all that aside and curtly responds. ]

[ She smiles faintly, but it's a little sad, too. ]

Does the Clone Wars end? Just give me a yes or no. I don't need to know the details.
