[ All right, Max has been given a bunch of film for the holidays, and you know what that means. It means that Max can go wild taking pictures. So that's what she's doing! Expect a Max wherever your character might be hanging out, taking snapshots to add to the wall in her own "office."

Failing that, she's probably in that office of hers, hanging up photos or trying to rearrange the furniture to be JUST right. If not there, then in the kitchen, trying out some of that coffee.

....She's used to better coffee. ]

[Stefan kinda figured that she might need help rearranging the furniture, and since he can lift a couch like he breathes, he peers in, giving her a half-wave as he glances around the office.]

Hey, it's looking pretty good so far.

I know, right? If I wasn't so dead-set on photography, I might consider taking up interior decorating. [ No she wouldn't. You're not that good, Max. ]

I still need some proper photography equipment to really get this looking nice. For now, I'll have to settle for making it look presentable instead. [ Which means moving the couch. And desk. ]

We'll make you a proper sign and everything. "Max Caulfield, Official Fleet Photographer."

[In the blink of an eye - literally a blink - he's holding out said handmade sign. It's a sanded down piece of wood, with "Official Fleet Photographer" written in Stefan's ornate cursive. He's even got the tape necessary to hold it in place. (It's also not a very heavy sign.)]

Okay, wowzer. [ Yes, she just said wowzer unironically. ] That was quick. Had it ready?

And uh, probably outside the door. That's where those kind of signs usually go, right?

[Now he looks a little embarrassed, ducking his head a little to avoid her gaze]

I was gonna give it to you for Eid, but I uh... ["I couldn't wait that long."] Happy New Year.

And uh, yeah, they do. But it's your call.

Thanks, Stefan. Really, it's great. [ She is really grateful. Man, what did she do to deserve such awesome shipmates? ]

And yeah, I think outside the door would be best. Let's do it.

[He nods at her instructions, running off to get something that'll hold the sign in place - essentially, the space equivalent of command strips. It takes him a few minutes, but he finds enough to hold the sign up. He'll hang it nice and straight, underneath the plaque with her name on it.]

[ Max admires his handiwork. ] Hells yeah! That looks great.

Now I can pretend to be official. Next step; business cards. [ She's joking. Could you imagine Max with business cards??? ]

There's an idea. [He laughs, trying to imagine this. He could actually see it, which is the strangest part!] If we weren't getting paid every month, I'd seriously consider it.

If you're gonna capture everything, why not get paid along the way?

[ Anakin was unpacking a few things from the shuttle when he hears a click and sees a flash from the corner of his eye. It's reminiscent of a blaster shot and he's on alert faster than he can reason with himself.

A few minutes of looking around and he spots her across the cargo hold. Still carrying his bag of metal scraps, he shouts across the room. ]

Hey! Are you making that flash?

[timelapsed]

[ She was caught!

...Well, not like she was exactly trying to hide. She already got her photo - in fact, she's got it in her off hand right now. Instant cameras, reason #22 they're better than digital.

She'll start walking over. ] Yeah!

[ A little closer now. Well, not like the cargo hold is all that big anyway. ]

Sorry. I saw the perfect shot, and I had to take it.

[ He lifts his shoulders, casually dismissing it. ]

Not a problem. I thought there was a broken cable.

[ Peering at the photo in her hand, he narrows his eyes and laughs lightly. Because who takes actual photos anymore?? ]

[ Nobody takes actual photos anymore. Not even in her world. ]

I'm technically... personnel? But I'm really more of a photographer. So I've got an office onboard, and I use one of the walls in it to post a bunch of the photos I've taken.

[ He squints, unsure, and adjust the bag he's carrying. ]

You ... document things then. Can I see the Wall?

Max Caulfield. [ Hey, if they're doing introductions. ] I guess you could say I document things. [ Mostly she just. Takes pictures she thinks will look good.

But she supposes she does document stuff like crews and planets through her pictures. So. Not inaccurate. ] And yeah, my office is open, whenever you have time.

[ He frowns, confused ]

Taking "photos" isn't your job on the ship, is it? What chip did they give you?

[ Is there a document chip... ]
