[ He sensed her come in, but his concentration wavers anyway. He trembles in the air before setting himself down and opening his eyes. ]
Ah, yes. Like the kettle. It is known as the Force.

[ His feet touch the floor, and he doesn't look out of place at all, as if he hadn't been floating moments earlier. ]
Let's just say it is something I serve and serves me in return.
no subject
But it's not a person! How do you serve it?
no subject
[ It's not the best explanation but it'll have to do. ]
no subject
You must be from a really noble background to achieve something that amazing!

[ Not that it matters to him. The Jedi are his family. ]
It's simply a matter of having the right abilities and skill.

Not everyone knows where they came from, right? She was fortunate enough to remember.]
But how do you know if you're able to do such things?

I have a certain sensitivity other people lack. It's what selected me to become a Jedi and have myself trained to use the Force. It's only years of training and experience that has gotten me so far.

[She does a lot of thinking, really. It's one of the few things she can do without getting into trouble back home, pending she's not dilly-dallying on her workload. Well, past-tense on all of that. Freedom, apparently. Right. Working on that fact.]

She shakes her head fervently.]
Oh, no Mr. Obi-wan! I don't think I would have something like that...!
[Just look at me; I'm not good material for anything magical.]
no subject
Not to worry. I have my hands full with my old pupils as it is. I'm simply pointing out that the potential exists in everyone.

DON'T PANIC, KOALA!!]
Oh, of course not, Mr. Obi-Wan, sir! I would never even entertain the idea, sir!
It's just that... I don't see how something like that could exist in someone like me.
no subject
Well, it's like breathing. Just existing means you are part of the Force.
no subject
[... no she doesn't]
Are there a lot of people who can do what you do?
no subject
There are. There's an entire order of people like myself, who serve and defend others in need, using the Force.
[ And they're all apparently dead, but let's leave that out. ]
no subject
That does sound nice...]
I wish my world had more people like that.
no subject
[ Maybe. He's not sure he believes it, but the hope stays. ]
no subject
Maybe someday. I hope before I die! I'd like to see it.
no subject
[ But his expression lapses into melancholy. ]
no subject
I should be more careful.
no subject
It's not you. I'm simply . . . dwelling on other matters. My apologies.
no subject
I don't know if I'm doing well or not.
