But it's nothing that can't be handled. Just a bunch of headaches that started with a new passenger on this ship.

The girl, right? ... I ran into her.

Someone's really done a number on her.

...That's right on all counts. [He sighs.] I don't know what to do. It's been like a madhouse here- or a madship? - with everyone trying to figure out what to do to help her.

... Have you tried just holding a ship-wide meeting?

[digthefuzz]

Not yet. I have to make sure it won't turn into a bloodbath.

[resnipstance]

[Ahsoka shrugs.]

Establish rules at the outset. Like the Senate. Stuff like-- only one person can talk at a time. Enforce it with a talking stick or something. Have an outside, unbiased third party there to keep the order. Make it a rule that they get to decide who talks next, and everyone has to abide by that decision. And if you can't come to an agreement by talking it out, have a vote. Majority rules.

[She can't help but smile a little.]

Anakin always made me go with him to observe the Senate sessions when we had the time. Guess it wasn't a total bust.

Yeah! Sounds like they were educational field trips alright! [He smirks. But then he goes on a little more seriously.]

Um, speaking of that, though... How have things been going for you?

[resnipstance]

Oh. Well. You know. It's... weird and awkward.

But good? But weird.

I'm sorry, that doesn't make any sense.

[digthefuzz]

No no! I get it. It's... good-weird.

[He shrugs and gives an awkward laugh.]

Definitely better than bad-weird, am I right?

[resnipstance]

Well... it's bad-weird sometimes too.

[She rubs the back of her neck, unsure of how to explain it.]

It's like... I don't know. I felt like I was just starting to settle in here. Just starting to get a sense of who I am outside of the Order. But then Anakin and Obi-Wan turned up, and-- I'm glad to see them! I am. ... I missed them. A lot.

But at the same time, it... reminds me of everything that I lost when I walked away. And I don't need that right now. Does that make sense?

[digthefuzz]

[He frowns and nods in understanding.]

Dude! Yeah. I get it. Ahsoka... It sounds like you might not be ready. You might... you know, need some more time apart.

[resnipstance]

I know! But-- how can I tell them that?

Anakin would flip. He's barely keeping it together as it is, I can tell.

[digthefuzz]

That... sounds like a tricky situation.

But what about Obi-Wan? I think that he'd understand. And... hey, maybe he'll think of a way to make it easier to break it on Anakin!

[He tries to think it over by himself for a moment.]

Maybe try to ease him into it...?

[Ahsoka seems to think about it.]

I don't know... maybe.

I think I'll wait until the dust settles, either way. Everything's... a little intense, right now.

[He pauses and nods.]

I get what you mean. And I think I agree. You just have to tough it for now. A-and wait for the right time to make it clear to them.

I swear, if one more surprise person from our future shows up, I think even I might flip.

...The future, huh? ...That's gotta be the doozy.

[He keeps it at that, worrying about giving away what he knows. And worried even more about the idea of it being true.]

There are two people who arrived about a week ago... from like twenty years in the future! And they're Anakin's kids! He's twenty two!

Can you imagine being twenty two and coming face to face with your grown-up kids you didn't even know you were having?

Whoa! Now that's heavy. [Anakin's kids.. Is the whole movie going to end up here?!]

Yeah... No, I can't even imagine that. It's got to be a lot to deal with. No one can become a parent overnight...

I mean-- they're good people. I really like them. And it's been great getting to know them.

But ... they're not my kids. They don't expect anything from me. It's easier for me.

I bet they are great. I guess it's a relief that it's easier on you, right? ...Have you heard anything about yourself?

[resnipstance]

Not really. ... To be honest, I haven't asked. They didn't recognise me at all, so... whatever their future is, I guess I'm not in it.

Even if I was, I'm not sure it's such a good idea to ask other people about the future.

R-right! Good point. Knowing the future sounds like dangerous business... The more you can avoid, the better!

...I'm sure you're just kicking butt in some other part of the galaxy anyway. But - right, let's keep our heads in the present.
