Um... Yeah! [Awkward handshake is go.] I guess so. I mean, technically I got picked first. But, I've been a little out of the loop. My bad.

How does the rank of Captain get decided?

That's in the Atroma's hands. As far as I know, it seems completely random... but I also heard there's forms where you can request to be a captain or first mate, but no clue if they actually work. [He never found out that said form is how Greed got his job.]

I guess it would depend on how much drama the Atroma is willing to invest in. Thank you, Kurt. That was a useful piece of information to know.

[ Obi-Wan, though, has no plans on becoming Captain. ]

Right... them and their drama! [He gives a beleaguered sigh.]

And you're welcome! I guess as captain, or a captain, it's the least I can do to try to be helpful around here...

Yeah! [He blurts that out, but luckily he's managed to think of a save that doesn't give away his knowledge of the movies and is technically true.]

It's not just the beard. I'm friends with Ahsoka, and he mentioned you once. Said you're the kind of guy who always knows what to do!

Always might be pushing the truth a little too far.

Well if you say someone's right most of the time, that would just sound weird, you know? But yeah, she definitely thinks highly of you. And so far, I- I think you're totally cool, too!

[He gives a thumbs up and inwardly marvels at the fact that he's giving a thumbs up for Obi-Wan Kenobi.]

[ A long pause. ]

. . . I'm really not. Heroic, I mean.

You are to me, you know. Even if you don't think you are.

[ For a brief moment, he struggles with a response to that. He can't even recall the last time he did something that remotely came close to heroic or even kind. He may have prevented disasters but he also brought with him, a unique kind of disaster, that only war can bring. ]

[He shrugs and offers a soft smile.]

Sometimes that's all you have to do, you know? [Kurt's not ready to be talked out of considering a hero to be a hero, even by the hero himself. ...Of course, he can't get completely into things because the last thing this guy needs is to have his whole life and death spoiled.]

[ He smiles, warming up somewhat. Who was he to tell someone off for what they believe in? Even if he's not sure of his heroic record these days. ]
