Who: Sansa Stark and anyone.
Broadcast: Video. Fleetwide.
Action: Find her on the Blue Fish, if you like.
When: Midday.
[ by all accounts, sansa stark has survived. she now lives on an armoured ship. her brothers are nearby -- alongside one brother's devoted friends, who have all been more kind to her kin than she can put to words. although nothing so much as approaches normal, she's beginning to feel settled. stability creeps in from the corners.
and this allows her to ask a question of her fleetmates: ] Is there any means by which I might find spare cloth and thread? And needles, too, of course. The ships give us so much, but I'm not certain -- [ not certain they can give me these. she does not understand their magic, nor the purchasing power of her device. ]
I like to embroider. I should like to do it again, if I could. [ but without a handmaiden to bid fetch these things, she doesn't know how to begin. perhaps it's as simple as looking in the correct spot -- but she was never raised to procure or purchase anything in her life. ]

She waves at Sansa enthusiastically when she spots her and hops out of the cockpit.]
Hey! You all ready?
no subject
the hood can be overlooked. she's merely happy to spend time with someone who doesn't send her (immediately) into suspicion. ]
Completely. [ sansa approaches the shuttle -- few of words, but (for once) smiling. ]

[ Ahsoka gets herself resettled into the pilot's chair and does up her seatbelt. Then she looks over at Sansa. ]
Don't forget to strap yourself in. [ She says it casually, like she'd remind anyone else. She doesn't know if Sansa knows about seat belts, but she doesn't want to embarrass her by asking, either. So she starts the launch sequence again, hitting a complex series of buttons and then pulling the shuttle gently up for a slow take off. ]
You ever been in one of these before? [ Ahsoka grins as she says it. ]
no subject
[ although she demonstrates a rather encouraging enthusiasm for the trip itself, sansa can barely conjure more than a few polite words at once for their conversation. perhaps it's the nerves, tightening in her stomach and making her throat constrict. ] I -- I don't like to sail alone.
[ sail. it's an easier word than fly. ]
no subject
That makes sense. I mean, you'd never been in space before you came here, right?
You do get used to it.

[They draw nearer to the planet, and Ahsoka's careful to put the brakes on as they enter the atmosphere.]
Hey, do you want to see something cool?
no subject
she thinks (mayahps) that ahsoka means the planet. the planet is, undeniably, quite cold. ]
Yes. [ she hesitates. ] Please.
no subject
Hang on-- nearly there.
[She takes them down through the clouds again, and a sight that was barely on the horizon before is now a breathtaking vista before them-- an icy mountain range panorama, a beautiful ancient temple on one of the peaks, and an icy frozen lake beneath it. Ahsoka comes here sometimes to meditate, but the sight takes her breath away every time. She doesn't even say anything, she just takes it all in. She's not fond of the temperature on this planet, but she has to admit... the nature here is beautiful as it is merciless.]
1/2
she is pale. and only a little queasy. ]
2/2
it's as if the north and the vale had crashed together, leaving behind the better bits of both. ]
-- It's beautiful. [ she whispers. ]

[Ahsoka does a slow circle around the mountains-- eventually they need to turn back, after all. But this is a nice way to see the whole view.]
no subject
but this? this is like flying. her heart begins to settle. slowly, she unhooks her fingers from her chair. ]
I don't mind the cold. [ her voice stays soft. ] Some days, I think I like it.
no subject
Really? Huh. The planet I grew up on is climate controlled, so it's always temperate. I can handle the cold if I have to, but... I wouldn't say I'm fond.
Was the place you grew up more like this, then?
no subject
It snowed. [ she explains. ] Even in summer.
[ little harmless snows that melted by morning -- but still snow. ]
no subject
Wow. You must be used to this, then.
There's a planet like that back home, too. Carlac. The primary native plant there is this kind of ... pink blossom. Everything is white, except for these ... silly pink trees dotting the horizon. It's beautiful.
no subject
[ that snags her attention. a weirwood's leaves were never pink, not properly. they were blood red. but this is the nearest she's come to hearing anything like those hallowed trees. ]
no subject
I don't have many good memories of the time I spent there, but I can't forget those trees. I don't know what makes them look like that, but... I've never seen them anywhere else. And I've been a lot of places.
no subject
no subject
... They sound beautiful. I'm sure we'll be able to get you home soon. It's only a matter of time before we get these Atroma punks! I promise.
no subject
instead, she hedges: ] It's not so bad. Here.
[ sansa braces herself for their landing. ]
no subject
Wait-- really? ... You think so?
no subject
to lie? or to tell the truth? in the end, she lands upon a vague clarification: ] Y-yes. Here, with my brothers. I missed them.
no subject
[She isn't really clear on the whole Stark family drama, to be honest. But Robb mentioned a war, so she can connect the dots.]
But every war has to end eventually!
no subject
but to preserve ahsoka's sense of the matter, she dredges up a careful smile. ] You speak the truth. Of course, it will end. Someday.
