[ he runs a hand over his face and sighs. ] She can't stay alone -- not until we know what's happened to her. She acts like she's still at Eichen.

Well, it's not like we can get to the Marsiva.

[ stiles has taken to pacing. ]

[ Isaac simply leans back against the wall, giving Stiles more room to pace. he knows this song and dance. ]

Yeah, but she can't be there for long, and when we know what ship she's in we can go together. [ he's not all that close with Lydia, but he doesn't want her hurt, not after seeing Allison... ] What's she... told you?

[ urgh. he's not explicitly conscious of isaac yielding that space to him, but he'd be grateful if he knew. ]

Why the hell is she in Eichen?

[ it's a rhetorical question that will probably be retconned by the conversation that he's currently having with lydia but oh well. what the fuck are timelines in rp anyway. ]

They've really scared her there.

[ but who wouldn't be terrified of Eichen house? Isaac never went himself but the stories, knowing what Stiles went through, and just seeing the place alone gave him the creeps. he folds his arms tightly over his chest, frowning. ]

My guess is someone put her there -- maybe someone found out she was a Banshee? [ he's not sure how or why theyd put her in Eichen, but. he almost thinks its better she's there against her will than blindly admitting herself to such a hell hole. he digs the toe of his shoe against the floor. ] Shit.

Stupid. We wouldn't let anyone do that to her.

[ and stiles is just going to start leading them both to the kitchen, because in times of stress, why not find something to eat. ]

It's alright. I'll figure it out. We'll make sure she's safe.

Yeah but it's not like we always have a choice.

[ Eichen house is weird, after all, and it's hard to say how Lydia came to be locked up there. he follows Stiles back to the kitchen, looking around this ship as he goes. funny how different they all are. ]

Yeah you don't have to figure it out by yourself, you know. Kind of defeats the whole pack purpose, doesn't it?

Maybe it'd defeat the purpose if there was a pack left in the first place.

[ stiles is trying not to slam the cupboard door after he takes a glass from one of the shelves. he mostly succeeds, inhaling a low and unsteady breath as he goes for the sink. ]

But there's not. Which you'd get, if you were there, but you're not, so maybe you should just sit this one out, Isaac.

[frigidaire]

[ there's plenty reason to be stressed here, and Lydia's strange arrival doesn't help anything. he can practically feel the tension before the cupboard slams. Isaac folds his arms over his chest almost defensively, eyebrows raised at him. ]

Right, so go ahead and do this all by yourself yeah that sounds like a great idea.

[ he frowns, looking at Stiles like he is truly touched. ] Maybe if you just told me what was going on, then I could actually help. Until then it's not like I'm going to ignore her, I know Lydia, too. [ he wouldn't say they're great friends, but he'd protect her if it came down to it, just the same he'd do with Stiles. if he had to. ]

Do you really think you can help Lydia when you can't even help yourself? [ control. it's the one thing Isaac does know better than anything else, knows its importance. ]

We're in space right now. What's the point in dwelling on any of it.

[ it's flat but terse. the only way he's been able to deal with any of this is compartmentalizing it and pretending it's not there. he can't fix anything right now, so why bother worrying about it?

it had been a good policy until lydia had arrived, at least. now all he can seem to do is worry. ]

[ he's not about to deal with wasting his time, especially if Stiles is in such a terrible mood. sure, the things back home aren't good and Lydia's arrival is less than stellar. ]
