[Rogue sits with her back to the wall with a decent view of the door. She’d asked the bartender to inform anyone who came in and inquired about interviews to point them in her direction, and Nami had graciously agreed. This had been in her mind to determine for a while, but Loki's disappearance had just given her the proper motivation to try it. There is a determined set to her shoulders even as she tries to relax and nurse her drink. This would be what her friends would call reckless if they were feeling kind about things, which would be why she didn't plan on telling them.

...Ugh, waiting for interviews was not the best. Maybe she should have brought a book. She pages absently through her communicator instead.]

[Rogue can appreciate that.] For all I know, it might be a wasted trip.

[A shrug.] But it's one I wanna try anyway. All the same, I don't mean ta make it a waste of your time. What kind of compensation are ya interested in?

[Might as well see if she can afford to pay Hera before interviewing further, although really there was something about the other woman's manner which inspired confidence in her piloting skills.]

[ Compensation? Hera blinks. ]

None. I'm here because I'm as curious as you are, and if we can find anything that'll help us figure this place out - get us closer to getting home - that'll be compensation enough.

I need to talk to my partner, though, if that's okay with you.

[Well, if the Atroma were the vindictive sort, there wouldn't be much Rogue could offer in the way of making up for what they had in their power to do anyway. It was almost better this way.]

Worth tryin', anyway. [A little bit of a nod.] 'course, you can talk to whoever ya want to, but the shuttles only fit two. If we can't find a place ta dock, I'm gonna need ya told hold it very steady. Can ya do that?

[Rogue would be gambling a lot on that answer.]

[ Hera's smile is easy, relaxed. ]

Absolutely. Whatever you need done with the shuttle, I can do it.

But yeah, I'll discuss it with Kanan. He can stay behind, be a contact point with the fleet, in case something does go wrong. Never hurts to have backup. He can get a second shuttle out to us if we need it.

[That was so true. Rogue nods.]

Alright. If you're in, let me know. I want to go today or tomorrow.

I will. And thanks - I mean, you're putting a fair amount of trust in someone you just met.

[Rogue hadn't really thought of it like that. After all, it wasn't a very dangerous mission, in her opinion, and it was a lot better to get a stranger in trouble with the Atroma than one of her friends (no offense).

She paused for a moment to consider and then offered Hera a wry smile.]

Well, ya seem more trustworthy than most taxi drivers I've met, an' I've braved them alright so far.

Taxis? [ Hera laughs a little. She only vaguely knows what a taxi is. ]

Ahh, maybe it's an Earth thing. It's when you don't have a car so ya pay a driver when you're in desperate need of a ride.

[ Hera still can't get over that that's what so many people call their planet - Earth. It seems very... unaware of the rest of the galaxy. ]

Oh, so public transport.

[Rogue nods.]

Well, a lil' less public than buses or trains, but yeah.

They probably have something like it on Coruscant. I've never been there myself, though. The Outer Rim isn't as, uh, metropolitan.

Neither is Caldecott County.

[She shrugs a little.]

But yours sounds cooler.

I'm not sure there's anything cool about the Outer Rim. Mostly it's just dangerous.

[A shrug.]

Caldecott wasn't even that. Unless ya count mosquitoes.

Nothing wrong with safety, if you can get it.

[Dryly:] Ain't that the truth.

[But Rogue is actually Highly Motivated to do this thing, and since Hera seems both willing and capable, Rogue is basically ready to go ASAP.] You'll let me know when you're ready ta go?

[ Hera nods, and stands. ] No later than tomorrow. I just have to talk to Kanan, let him know what the plan is.

[ He might complain a little about staying behind, but he won't object or try to stop her. ]

[A nod.]

Appreciate it.

[And then Rogue stands as well and offers Hera a gloved hand. Shake?] Thanks again.

[ Handshakes aren't really a thing where Hera is from, but she's willing to go with it, why not? ]

Sure, I'll talk to you tomorrow.

[Rogue nods.]
