Who: Anyone on the SS Huntress! Crew and visitors.
Broadcast: N/A
Action: SS Huntress
When: More of January! We got three new crew mates and it will be messy.
IT'S ANOTHER MINGLE FOR OUR EVER-EXPANDING SHIP.
Also, we need an update on how well Koala is doing at pinball.
God, help this ship.

Nope! Welcome to the Huntress.
[She waves a hand, and the lances disappear.]
What's your name, human?

[ He relaxes his grip on whatever he was holding behind his back, the absence of weaponry making him less inclined to feel a need to arm himself. If he's in any way surprised by her appearance then he doesn't show it, far too accustomed to talking animals, hybrids, and a bevy of other weird shit. ]

I'm Undyne, Captain of the Royal Guard and-- ship cook.
[She hops gracefully onto the floor beside the bed.]

So you're the one I have to share the kitchen with.
no subject
[She eyes him. He isn't really much to look at, all things considered, but then she grins.]
Well, if I can cook with one eye you can cook with one arm. We'll figure it out.
no subject
That's the least of my concerns. I'd hardly be held back by something so trivial, and I'd assume a 'captain of the royal guard' wouldn't either.
no subject
[She shrugs.]
A word of warning: the stuff we're supposed to cook is more flammable than it should be.
no subject
Are you saying you've set the meals on fire before? ... how flammable exactly do you mean?
no subject
[She rubs behind one of her frilly ears.]
It's just fire, it's not like it's a big deal. But it does tend to make the little girl panic.
no subject
Damn, there's a little girl here? [ nailed the priorities ]
no subject
She was apparently a slave. We're trying to condition her out of it, but it's hard.
[quieter, sharper:]
I shouldn't have to tell you what happens to people who take advantage of little girls.
no subject
Why the hell would I need to take advantage of a child? There's nothing she can do for me that I can't do better for myself.
no subject
Congrats, you passed the test.
If you see anyone giving her trouble though, tell me. Immediately. [And in a very unsubtle gesture, she draws her finger across her neck.]
no subject
If I see anyone unduly abusing a child then I'll intervene myself. I don't have an issue passing the information along when I see you, however. [ 'Unduly' is the keyword here. ]
no subject
Fair enough. [She examines her claws.] Need a tour?
no subject
What's the likelihood of someone else attacking me for walking into a room?
no subject
Not too likely. The other people here are pretty easygoing. Good for you, huh?
no subject
Then again, I'm not easygoing.
