I'd be very surprised if you didn't kick his ass. That should be interesting, though.

It just brings up something else I wanted to ask about. Were your powers limited when you came here?
no subject
Well, to be completely honest, I'm not entirely sure. Everything I've been able to test out has worked fine, but there are a few things I can't really test properly without, you know, giving certain things away to the entire Fleet.
[ Like telepathy en masse, etc. ]
As far as I know, though, no. It's not uncommon for people to have some of their abilities removed or limited, though.
no subject
Given the nature of the Yamanaka clan's abilities that's understandable. Is there any precedent for someone regaining abilities that were lost?
no subject
no subject
Then I'll find a way to set that precedent myself. I won't be content in settling for less... In the meantime I suppose it's a chance to train lesser used skills.
no subject
You might be able to learn something new, too. There are a lot of people here who have abilities that can be taught that aren't something you could learn at home.
no subject
Whatever else I may have lost, I still have the sharingan. Whether people are patient enough to sit down and teach or not, I'm sure I'll be able to accrue some new skills.
no subject
[ When these things can be arbitrarily turned on and off, you still have to be able to defend yourself and treat wounds, so ... her smile is more weary than anything when she teases him for potentially using the Sharingan. ]
Just don't be surprised if some people don't like being stared at.
no subject
annoyingpoorly explainedtool. ]I don't doubt that.
And I'm very used to people not liking something that I'm doing, Ino.

[ She pauses for a moment; she's not really expecting him to be honest when he answers this question -- of course he'll say he'll be fine -- but she wants to extend the offer anyways. ]
Will you be all right here? My ship is full now, but if you want it, I'll put in for an extra room.
no subject
I've lived in worse places. [ It's simple, but it's true. ] I think I'll face the same challenges regardless of where I am, and it may be that that's a good thing. I could use a few tests.
[ Contrary to her thoughts, that's an overly honest answer for him. This is a chance to grow and solidify his new views, really. ]
1/2
... Is she coddling him? It's just that it's been so long, and now that everything is over with, he must have a lot to think about. That, and now that she's older, it just feels like he's so young in some ways. ]
no subject
That's a good attitude to have.
no subject
... it'll need a name, probably. ] I'm not someone that you need to worry over.
no subject
Just because I don't need to doesn't mean I won't.
[ She folds her arms across her chest, watching him as he inspects the plant. There aren't exactly bugs on the spaceship garden, so it looks pretty immaculate. ]
A lot of crazy stuff happened at home, but trust me when I say that's just the beginning of crazy. The Fleet's been lucky so far, but that could change at any time.
[ Huh. Now she's the paranoid one. But it's hard not to be, after Paradisa put her through the wringer. ]
no subject
I think I can predict that this crew will suffer over my presence more than I'll suffer over theirs.
no subject
[ Both for his sake and everyone else's here. She's not really convinced, but she'll let the topic go. She nods back to the sword. ]
There'll be some more stuff in the armory, too. Though most of those are guns. [ And since those aren't exactly a thing in ninja land: ] I can show you how to use one, if you want. They're pretty simple.
no subject
Aa, if there's something other than what I use that's the primary weapon of choice here, I should master it quickly. Do you have time for it right now?
no subject
-- Yeah, just a second.
[ She pulls her communicator out of the pouch on her leg, typing something quickly and sending it before she beckons for him to follow!
She hasn't been on this ship before, but she knows what the armory looks like, so it shouldn't be too hard to find. ]

There's some spears and other more primitive weapons that might look familiar, but she goes for the blasters, taking two off the wall and tossing one to Sasuke to catch. ]
no subject
It's small for a weapon that's apparently so effective. [ Or at least it must be if people are prioritizing it over everything else here. ]
no subject
It'll be safer to use them down in the cargo bay where there's more space.
[ As she's walking, she'll explain how it's effective ]
The purpose of a gun is to shoot a projectile at a really high speed. These are a little more advanced and shoot projectiles made of energy, but there are others that shoot little metal things called bullets.
no subject
[ Ease of use... Well, that's not his way, really, but he won't turn down a powerful weapon. He's never been particularly honorable when it comes to scrimping for any kind of advantage that he can get even if this one strikes him as inherently cheap. ]
