... It's nice to meet you all. My name is Yamazaki Sousuke, and I was recently brought aboard the SS Caprine as a co-pilot. I... am still not sure why I was chosen to be here, after seeing many of you on the planet we were on, or on the Iskaulit, but since I've been told there's no way home, I will... do what I can to be of use in this fleet.

[he glances over his shoulder at the person entering the room, and finds himself staring a bit. it's okay, sousuke. you've seen this now.]

... Yeah. I guess so. Are there that few humans in the fleet?

[ he seems amused by the staring, at least. ]

I mean on this ship. There's plenty of humans overall, so I'm sure you'll get along fine.

Don't think about why Atroma chooses people too much, by the way. There's no real algorithm for that, I don't think. You'll just be chasing your tail. [ And as funny as that is, it's really unproductive. ]

Thankfully, their little doctor has gotten over his cold by now, too. A smile flutters across his lips easily before he speaks.]

Ah... hello. Yamazaki, right? [Slipping a makeshift bookmark into his book, he closes it and turns more fully to Sousuke. Look how tiny, Sousuke.] I'm Qing-Yuan Zhu, lab support.
