Who: Robin-ish
Broadcast: Crew only (plus a private convo, plus any nosy Comms people...)
Action: Bloodsport crew can use this for action mingling if y'all want!
When: About a day after the last shuffle...
[how are you doing on this fine day, Bloodsport? at a reasonable hour, Robin picks up his communicator and opens a line to the whole ship... speaking in that friendly, charismatic tone of his.]
Good afternoon everyone, this is your captain speaking. It looks like we've taken on some new passengers, as well as a whole room that wasn't here yesterday, so... I'd like to officially welcome our new crew onto the Bloodsport. The line is open, so please, feel free to introduce yourself and get to know each other. We look forward to having you on board.
[and then, with only the slightest change towards a more somber tone--]
For those that knew her, I am also sorry to say that Rin is no longer on our ship roster. There's a small possibility that she's merely been transferred and has yet to return contact, but I don't want to keep anyone in the dark.
[there, that's over. he returns to something perfectly casual.]
I'm going to be off-ship for a day or so, while we're still planet-side. If anyone has any questions or concerns in the meantime, you're welcome to contact me privately and I'll return the message when I get the chance. My personal frequency is... [frequency number here!] After that, you are more than welcome to speak with me in person.
[a short laugh.] No one is allowed to break the ship until I get back, all right? That will be all, thank you.
[he ends the transmission, leans back in his chair... time for one more thing, before he leaves.]
[locked to Tekhetsio... unless you're a sneaky Communications person.]
[it's a text, but at least they're both on-world... it might not take a half-hour to go through.]
Hey, I feel like shit. I'm going to go drink. Come dancing with me?

[he just. lets his head fall forward so that he can grind his palms into his eyes. he feels like he's going to throw up. despite all that, he keeps a professionally steady voice.]
That was maybe the worst way to start this. Shit. I just... [okay. oookay. okay.] Rin was the only one who knew, and now she's gone, so I want someone else to know.

This won't mean anything to you, but I'm what you call a Keyblade Master, back home. [ a pause. ] Now you know something no one else does here, except for Sora.
It's not gonna change how I look at you.

Yours sounds cool, at least.
[he drops his arm.]
I also wanted to warn you about something.

[ his eyebrows raise again, and now he looks a little concerned. ]
What about?

[...but it's already happened once. he guesses there is actually one more person who know about his true form. it's strange to see Robin with such a serious face. it almost doesn't suit him.]
My blood is what heals me. It repairs any injury done to my body, regardless of whether or not I'm conscious for it. Normally this works without a problem, but... If my brain is destroyed, for whatever reason, the grey matter heals up a lot faster than my personality and memories do.
Just... Please, if you ever see me get shot in the head or something, and I don't get back up, get yourself and everyone else far away from me, all right?

... okay. I will. I promise.
[ robin doesn't know riku well enough to know that a promise is something he'll die for, but he probably doesn't need to. ]

[hearing that out of him fills him with more relief than even he would have expected, and he smiles again.]
Like I said, it probably won't be a problem. I swear I don't make a habit of it. [and then, after a strange pause--] Thank you, Riku.

the thanks is regarded with surprise--he blinks twice before flicking a page in his journal. ]
It'd be weird if I didn't look out for my captain. [ a pause, and he looks at him sidelong. ] Thanks, for telling me.

[he... stands again. he's a lot more human looking and appears far more in-control of himself when he's standing. less like nervous animal, more like a man.]
It's fair if you ask questions later, but I really do have to get out of here, so--catch you when I get back.
[he goes for the door. highly confidential admittance of horrible inner nature? over.]

[ he says it as he turns to leave, and then goes back to his writing, silent.
+1 rank up. ]
