Who: Robin-ish
Broadcast: Crew only (plus a private convo, plus any nosy Comms people...)
Action: Bloodsport crew can use this for action mingling if y'all want!
When: About a day after the last shuffle...
[how are you doing on this fine day, Bloodsport? at a reasonable hour, Robin picks up his communicator and opens a line to the whole ship... speaking in that friendly, charismatic tone of his.]
Good afternoon everyone, this is your captain speaking. It looks like we've taken on some new passengers, as well as a whole room that wasn't here yesterday, so... I'd like to officially welcome our new crew onto the Bloodsport. The line is open, so please, feel free to introduce yourself and get to know each other. We look forward to having you on board.
[and then, with only the slightest change towards a more somber tone--]
For those that knew her, I am also sorry to say that Rin is no longer on our ship roster. There's a small possibility that she's merely been transferred and has yet to return contact, but I don't want to keep anyone in the dark.
[there, that's over. he returns to something perfectly casual.]
I'm going to be off-ship for a day or so, while we're still planet-side. If anyone has any questions or concerns in the meantime, you're welcome to contact me privately and I'll return the message when I get the chance. My personal frequency is... [frequency number here!] After that, you are more than welcome to speak with me in person.
[a short laugh.] No one is allowed to break the ship until I get back, all right? That will be all, thank you.
[he ends the transmission, leans back in his chair... time for one more thing, before he leaves.]
[locked to Tekhetsio... unless you're a sneaky Communications person.]
[it's a text, but at least they're both on-world... it might not take a half-hour to go through.]
Hey, I feel like shit. I'm going to go drink. Come dancing with me?

Hey, I feel like shit. I'm going to go drink. Come dancing with me?

action;
[wait, wait, waving his hand. frowning now.] I don't wanna get into it but it's just fucking frustrating, you know?
action;
And talked to him how? About what?
[not that he's ever concerned about Robin's gushing or anything.]
action;
action;
[but Robin seems... okay... after whatever it was, so he lightens up again.]
And, I don't know. Is there anything I'd like?
[in other words, order for him because he's lazy and can't get drunk anyway.]
action;
I'll get you something!
action;
[and so he waves him off, and goes to find a nice place to sit. he'll bully someone out of their seat if he has to.]
action;
so he saunters back to the table, carefully puts down two delicious drinks, and drapes his way into a chair.]
Did you do anything different with your face today...? It looks nice...
action;
[and he'll just go ahead and smirk at his own joke because he's so funny.
and making sure that Robin has things to laugh at doesn't seem like the worst idea in the world right now.]
action;
They're pretty...
[leaning casually forward on the table, bringing his drink up to his lips... but absolutely looking at Tek.]
action;
I had to use charcoal. [he admits, pointing out the smokiest bit of his own eyes.]
Times are tough.
action;
You poor thing. I'll buy you some makeup as soon as we find a place that's selling it.
[he's... might be getting into his drunk drunk phase.]
action;
this really is why he adores Robin. he leans against that doting hand and smiles at him, and it's there in his face. he lets it show. returning as much attention as he's receiving.
while his mind runs through a little twist. a crook in the road without warning.]
What would you do if I left you?
action;
[his smile falters. it's easy to see that at first, he doesn't understand. his hand drops. at least he seems to be taking the question seriously, maybe already getting upset.]
Do you mean here? Or forever?
action;
Oh, I mean forever.
action;
[his head drops forward, countering a swell of something... sorrowful, obviously, but it has such a bite to it. gnashing, clawing at the doors. Tek has never left him, not once. even when he might have been (should have been) dead, his heartbeat and deathsoaked eyes were everywhere, breathing out of the very ground they slept on.
his smile is bare and raw when he looks back up at him.]
What do you think, asshole? I'd have no one to ask to dance with me.
action;
[lightly, like he isn't quite catching the little, abraded details in Robin's expression.
and he nods toward wherever that poor jilted young man from before retreated to.]
You're never short of people to dance with.
action;
[he slumps down in his chair, the tension leaving him a little... though it might only be because he's imagining what it would be like, to have that horrible aching feeling swallow him up again. that's what it would do, without a doubt. swallow him up. he rubs distractedly at a closed eye, staring (unseeingly) out at the rest of the bar with the other.]
I haven't felt like that in a long time...
action;
he just suddenly can't remember why he'd wanted it. maybe it looks differently than he'd expected it to.
he looks away, glances elsewhere.]
It would be a waste, wouldn't it.
action;
[he looks over at Tek, one of those bizarre little smiles playing on his face.]
I'm not wasted yet, come on. [he picks up his glass.] The night is young! I'm not gonna waste your time, promise.

he's indestructible. that's why he likes him.]
You're right. ...And I'm holding you to that.

Come on, let's do one of those clinky things. A cheers.

now, Tek can just laugh at him, and hold his glass away so Robin can't bump it with his own.]
Wait... a 'clinky thing?'

A toast?
Is that what you mean?

[he simmers back down into his chair, but he's still... holding his glass up, a bit.]
