[Sorey might've been given the knowledge and job title of an Engineer, but the most complicated thing he's ever attempted to fix was this one rope-and-pulley weight system in these old rusted ruins. Electricity was beyond his expertise before coming here, so redirecting the fusion runoff through the environmental scrubbers so that the cabins don't get flooded with radiation whenever someone turns on their heating? That's a little new.
Doesn't mean he won't dive headfirst into it on the first day though.]
Whoa! That's neat! [Sorey's voice echoes from where his upper half is shoved into a maintenance panel. There's an ominous-sounding clank from inside that makes an angry-sounding alarm blare in protest before it silences with a click and,] So that's what that does... [With Sorey poking around and learning the innerworkings of his ship as best as possible there's bound to be some bugs. Hopefully he doesn't inconvenience anybody too much...]
KITCHEN
[Sorey might be crap at desserts but he's not half bad at actual entrees, so when it comes time to eat he spends his time assembling some sort of weird taco rice dish with the questionable-looking 'meat.' Man, they hadn't been kidding when they'd said the food on the Marvisa was better. Still, warm food is better than the dried jerky and fruit they'd had to eat sometimes when out in the wilderness, so Sorey can deal.
He's gotten used to cooking for more than just one due to his recent travels though, and ends up making too much. And wasting food is just all kinds of awful, so the first person who steps through that door gets an expressed invitation to join him for dinner.]
SHUTTLE BAY
[This kid does not know how to pilot a shuttle. Okay so he's got the basic info in his head, but it's like explaining to a medieval knight how a jet fighter works. He's fiddling with controls that he probably shouldn't be fiddling with and the shuttle engines prime and then power back down three times before he climbs out and starts circling this freaky horseless cart space dinghy thing to try and figure out what he's doing wrong. He's got to get over to the Huntress to check on his friend, it's already been too long.]
