Pride is dangerous. When killing becomes a source of pride, that means you'll continue to do it, to hold onto that sense of pride.

that's assuming that you don't take pride in anything else. that that's the only way you could feel proud, is by killing.

Being proud of surviving is one thing, but to take pride in taking a life means your pride is only so weak and easily taken from you.
