Okay, so, I wouldn't have thought I'd need to say this, but please don't try to fly a shuttle by yourself if you've never done it before. I don't care what kind of augmentation you have; reading the instruction manual isn't the same as actually flying a ship in space. It's not even the same as flying in the atmosphere of a planet - space is a vacuum; there's no air, no friction, and navigation can be tricky.

I haven't dug up anything even remotely useful in figuring out what the hell's actually going on, but information doesn't stay hidden forever. Something'll show up.

People who should know better but decide to do something different are probably better off not spreading their stupidity.

That's fair. I guess I just assume most people are from worlds where they don't have this kind of technology, but in that case, they should know better than to try and do something they don't have training in.

Fair assumption to make. Most of the people I've talked to don't have any idea what a ship is supposed to be. A couple haven't even been to space.

Yeah, I've talked to a lot of people who've never been to space. They must be from pre-spaceflight worlds. It's very strange. I'm sure it's even scarier for them than it is for us.
