Okay, so, I wouldn't have thought I'd need to say this, but please don't try to fly a shuttle by yourself if you've never done it before. I don't care what kind of augmentation you have; reading the instruction manual isn't the same as actually flying a ship in space. It's not even the same as flying in the atmosphere of a planet - space is a vacuum; there's no air, no friction, and navigation can be tricky.

Let's not have any accidents. If you want to get somewhere, or want to learn to fly, please talk to someone with experience. I'll make myself available for lessons. My name's Hera, and I'm on the Golden.

Considering I've encountered two near-disasters in the past three days, I'm calling it a general concern. I don't plan to let anyone off the Golden without showing me they can handle the shuttle controls first, anyway.

[ She might not be considered a captain here, but she's still a pilot, and she'll darn well be looking out for the people she's being forced to share a ship with. ]

Each pilot spends an hour teaching a new crew member how to fly. The captain of each should assign the duties as requested.

How many pilots do you have on your ship?

That sounds reasonable, assuming all the assigned captains are reasonable. [ It might be asking a lot, but hey, expectations! ]

There are two of us, but honestly? My counterpart is from a world where space travel isn't common. [ So she basically considers it her responsibility entirely. ]
