Who: Hino Rei [
flameandpassion] and YOUUUU.
Broadcast: Fleetwide!
Action: The Marsiva.
When: Now!
[ ah, the flood of new people.
rei has been watching the network for the past half-day or so, and carefully exploring the marsiva. she's run into a fellow fire princess, but has avoided most everyone else. instead, she's been listening. waiting, watching. absorbing as much as she can before recognizing that this is, indeed, not a joke.
she's no longer in adstringendum, but somewhere new. either castiel's ritual failed, or the animus decided to say one last 'fuck you' to their favorite shinto priestess before kicking her out the door. aelia, as always, is a cruel mistress.
so when rei turns on the feed, she looks like a typical eighteen-to-nineteen year old girl, but her eyes look a lot older. her hair is long and falls across her shoulders, and she's wearing a sweater, jeans, and boots -- all miraculously mended thanks to the atroma. how nice of them.
there's no hope in her expression, necessarily, but she can't help but ask : ]
Is there anyone here from Adstringendum?
[ that should bring out the familiars, anyway. and rei waits, almost as if she's expecting someone to burst in from off screen and go SURPRISE -- but when that doesn't happen, she continues, a bit wryly -- ]
If not, then I guess I have to start from scratch. Hino Rei, your new securities personnel. Or... whatever they call it.
[ she certainly doesn't look pleased about it, anyway, and finally, her expression breaks into something frustrated. ]
But if this so-called reality TV show thinks that they can just take over where the Animus left off, they have another thing coming, because I've had it up to here with --
[ and rei stops herself before gritting her teeth, exhaling slowly, and frowning into the camera. ]
When do I get off of this thing?

When do I get off of this thing?

Sure, he just saw her not more than a few hours before he arrived here, but still. Even her comment isn't enough to cut through the good mood inspired by her being here as well.]
I am. I can explain several reasons why I am correct and provide evidence for them, but I would rather say hello.
[Offline]
[ it's said pointedly, but rei glances at the drink dispenser before edging closer, surveying castiel carefully, brow furrowed. he's her castiel, that's for certain -- rei can feel it, but something is off. she can't quite put her finger on it, but... ]
... your grace is different.
[ that's it. ]
[Offline]
[Castiel watches her come closer, unbothered but curious, head tilting slightly to the side. When she comments, he gives a small shrug of one shoulder and a faint smile.]
It's how it should be.
[Which is why it's different to her, probably; she's pretty used to it being messed up in some way or another.]

You went home before you came here.
[ knowingly, still eyeing him -- but eventually, rei lets her serious frowny-face slip into something of a relief, and she finally crosses over for a tight hug, exhaling abruptly. ]
I'm glad you're here, even if we're not supposed to be here.
[Offline]
[He totally accepts the hug, returning it in his usual awkward but slowly learning way. He hadn't seen her that long ago, but he still shares the same sentiment she expresses.]
So am I. I am not fond of being in dimensions without you.
[BFFs. :c]
[Offline]
I never made it home.
[ a bit ruefully. going home just seems to not be in the cards for sailor mars, it seems. ]
I came straight here.

We left Adstringendum separately as I was traveling to my world first, so it's possible something occurred in between the time in which you left Adstingendum and I went to your world.
[And of course there's alternate universes and timelines and all that, but it seems the simplest explanation.]
[Offline]
[ as she pushes her hair out of her eyes, frowning to herself. ]
It looks like a bunch of us from Adstringendum showed up here, though. A few of us got caught right as we left... I haven't met up with anyone who didn't yet, except you.
You don't think anyone was stuck there, do you?
[Offline]
I don't believe so. It's unlikely, at least, and the portals should have lead to the correct locations. Anyone that left should have been at least en route to the worlds they chose.
[It seems that whatever brought them here was probably unrelated to Castiel's spell, or at least he really hopes so. But people traveling through dimensions already might have been easier to redirect to somewhere else by some outside force.]
[Offline]
[ with a hiss of irritation, a slight curse underneath her breath, and she runs her hands through her hair briefly, pushing it out of her eyes. ]
Figures. Do you believe any of this reality TV stupidity? There's no way people are actually watching any of this garbage -- or that we were brought here for that purpose.
[Offline]
[And is also fortunately the least worrying situation, so there's that. At the question he frowns slightly, shrugging one shoulder.]
I don't know. More pointless and unusual things have occurred, but it does seem likely that is not the entire explanation, at least.
[Offline]
You know I'm not putting up with that.
[ under her breath, as she takes a cup ]
Reality television, after everything I've been through -- like we're some kind of joke -- did you hear we're getting paid for this? It's ridiculous.
[Offline]
[Because clearly that's the important part of what she just said, right?]
[Offline]
That's not a good enough reason to be trapped here.
[ and rei pauses before offering the cup to him ]
Have you ever had soda?
[Offline]
Occasionally, yes. What kind is it?
[Offline]
[ she holds it out a bit further, arching her eyebrows ]
You'll like it, I promise.
[Offline]
The selection of drinks is far better here than Adstringendum, at least.
[Offline]
[ rei totally ate like six cookies ]
There's hot water, and showers, and toiletries. I can't complain about any of that. I don't have to brush my hair with a stick.
[Offline]
[Also bonuses, even if some of his siblings would actually be nice to have around.]
