001 ♛ Video;
Who: Daenerys Targaryen
Broadcast: Fleetwide video.
Action: She can be found on the Hospitality Deck of the Marsiva if anyone wants to find her wandering around.
When: Today!
[Daenerys hadn't even had fortnight to settle in, to take in the situation she's found herself in. One moment she was in the almost safety of Drogon's company and the next she was surrounded by Dothraki. Now? She was.... looking at a strange speaking device? She learned enough that people could communicate with it, but not enough right away on how to do so herself. It takes her a moment to figure it out and when she finally does, her violet eyes are still wide with concern on the video feed. Once she realizes it's working, she tries to go for a more calm and assertive outward appearance.]
To think that such a place would be capable of stealing so many from their homes. I can't imagine the ransom they'd be seeking. I wish to speak to whoever thought it wise to attempt such a feat and if any others can provide valuable information, mayhap you'll receive a reward from me in return.
[Mostly her eternal gratitude, given that she had little else on her person in the way of money. Carefully, she tucks a stray silver lock behind her ear. She wanted to ask where Drogon was and yet she knew outright asking her captors where they'd taken her dragon might be too foolish of a thing to attempt.]

robb is here, she tells herself. tell the truth. ] The North, my lady.
video »
And... what House do you hail from, my lady.
[She feels as if she knows the answer. It would be a child of House Stark. Such is her fate, to be confronted with the children of one of the men who had torn her family from her. She knows it to be fair, but unfortunate. Rhaegar had taken Eddard's sister, had been said to have raped and killed her, but Daenerys wanted to believe otherwise. She wanted to believe the part Viserys had told her about how unhappy he'd been with his wife, Elia Martell.]

and she has brothers who protect her. so, with a raised chin. ] My name is Sansa. Of House Stark.
[ daughter of winterfell, and the blood of the first men flows in her veins. ]

I am Daenerys of House Targaryen, Rightful Queen of the Andals, the Rhoynar, and of the First Men, Queen of Mereen and Khaleesi of the Great Grass Sea. Well met, Sansa of House Stark. I imagine our houses have a long and bloody history behind us, don't you agree?
[She raises her chin as well, her pale violet eyes staring steadily across the video. She'd been just as stiff with Tyrion and had called him Lannister. If she found Sansa just as easily agreeable, then she would certainly recieve the same respects. After all, as much as she hated to cast the grudge between their houses aside, their fathers were the ones who had quarreled, not she nor Sansa herself.]

Well met, my lady. [ she does not call her queen, although there is a hesitation in her voice that suggests sansa has considered the courtesy. ] Some days, I think all history in Westeros is long and bloody.

Yes. Wars fought by great houses fighting for power, wars fought where blood is spilled by innocents and guilty alike. I've heard some of what that beast of a boy king has done to my home.
[And she means to take back what is hers with fire from her dragons and the blood of House Lannister, just as they'd stolen it with the blood of House Targaryen. She would comment that House Stark was just as guilty, as well as Tyrell and the other houses who have chosen to fight amongst one another, but she knows it to be in poor taste for the moment. She can hardly reprimand the girl for a war she didn't even choose, as much as she wished House Stark to suffer what her family suffered. Ser Barristan's assertions stayed her tongue.]
I plan to take my army across the sea and take back the Seven Kingdoms, Lady Stark. That includes the North.
[That might be something the Northerners take issue with, or it might not. It was no difference to her.]
video »
[ but when she speaks, she does not sound strong. she sounds nebulous -- and, perhaps, a little afraid. she will not refute what a beast that boy kind had been, but neither will she abandon the cause her brother has forged, now, in his own blood.
she nearly pleads: take the other six kingdoms; leave the north alone. ]
video »
[And whether she has to win the North back the hard or the easy way, well that remained to be seen. She had every intention of bringing all seven kingdoms back to the fold. Dorne had been separate in everything but name and the North was separate. She wanted to see her home whole again.]
My lady, your house still sits in the North, correct? Perhaps an agreement can be reached that won't result in more blood.
[Though she isn't so sure. She'd heard whispers and still remembered the vision in the House of the Undying of the Wolfhead king sitting on his throne.]

[She doesn't have to imagine it, honestly. She knows that they take and take and take until there's nothing but blood, ash, and rubble. She and Viserys had been running from them for a long time, along with the Usurper. He might be dead but two of his children still lived and the Lannisters ruled her throne with sharp claws that dug deep.]
I see... so you've been chased from your home as well. You have my greatest sympathies, Lady Stark.
[She frowns, feeling the familiarity of that scenario. Constantly moving from place to place, hoping they could find someone to trust other than the two of them. All because one of her father's loyal had died. Even now she missed that beautiful home with the red door.]
video »
They are monsters, my lady. Nearly every last one of them.
video »
[And she softens again, curious of whether she should ask how she came to know these monsters so intimately.]
Did they hurt you?
video »
but those are secrets she can barely whisper to her brother when he asks after king's landing, and what happened there. she will not bring herself to repeat (and relive) that pain to a near-stranger, no matter what her bloodline. so sansa's jaw tightens. ]
I am not in King's Landing; they cannot reach me. They cannot hurt me.
[ any more. ]
video »
Mayhaps, someday someone might show this poor girl the same love and devotion to healing whatever hurts she had suffered.]
No, you aren't and no they cannot, Lady Sansa.
[She speaks the girl's name softly, as a mother or a sister might. She was neither of those things, but she knew this girl was hurting and she had promised anyone who had hurt her people that they would die, screaming in agony when they left this world. House Lannister would bleed for their sins.]
I said that our houses had a long and bloody history behind them, but I would very much like to learn more - if you have good stories to share of the North, I should like to hear them some time, Lady Sansa. I only know the histories of Westeros and some stories here and there. I want to know more of the home I mean to return to.

[ it isn't anything about daenerys herself that prompts such a falsehood. rather, it's the undercurrent of ambition that rocks sansa to her bones. the ownership which the she casts over westeros -- while backed by tradition -- frightens sansa. one crown has already betrayed her. why should anyone else's be any better?
only robb, she thinks. robb is her king -- even in death. ]
video »
I look forward to speaking with you again soon then, my Lady. Unless you have anything further to add to our current situation?
video »
[ hopefully after she's spoken with robb, and has decided upon a strategy for approaching a dragon-shaped problem. ]
video »
[She's planning on asking Tyrion about you and your family, don't worry Sansa she's plotting too. The last thing she needs is a pack of angry wolves at her doorstep.]
