001 ♛ Video;
Who: Daenerys Targaryen
Broadcast: Fleetwide video.
Action: She can be found on the Hospitality Deck of the Marsiva if anyone wants to find her wandering around.
When: Today!
[Daenerys hadn't even had fortnight to settle in, to take in the situation she's found herself in. One moment she was in the almost safety of Drogon's company and the next she was surrounded by Dothraki. Now? She was.... looking at a strange speaking device? She learned enough that people could communicate with it, but not enough right away on how to do so herself. It takes her a moment to figure it out and when she finally does, her violet eyes are still wide with concern on the video feed. Once she realizes it's working, she tries to go for a more calm and assertive outward appearance.]
To think that such a place would be capable of stealing so many from their homes. I can't imagine the ransom they'd be seeking. I wish to speak to whoever thought it wise to attempt such a feat and if any others can provide valuable information, mayhap you'll receive a reward from me in return.
[Mostly her eternal gratitude, given that she had little else on her person in the way of money. Carefully, she tucks a stray silver lock behind her ear. She wanted to ask where Drogon was and yet she knew outright asking her captors where they'd taken her dragon might be too foolish of a thing to attempt.]

I have heard tales of that place, aye. [But all he has heard were from history books and words from his lord father.] I am of Winterfell, my lady. The North. [He leans a little bit forward.] May I know of your name? [She definitely does not look as if she had come from the loins or a Baratheon lord. Mayhaps one of Robert’s bastards, the old king was known for his fondness of whores. At least, that is what some of his men have told him. And back then, during dinner at the Great Hall the king paid more attention to the serving maids than his own lady wife.]
[Ah. He was about her age too, so this would be the 'King in the North' she'd heard about - if she had to guess. Had Rhaegar not died, had his greed not taken this man's aunt, perhaps their fates would be different than they are now..]
I am Daenerys of House Targaryen.
[It was on the tip of her tongue to give her full, impressive, title, but she refrains. He probably wouldn't care for what claims she had to Westeros, including the North.]
I imagine you've heard many tales of my family, my lord, and perhaps even of me.
[Targaryen? Could it truly be? Of course, there are rumors. There are rumors of dragons as well. Consider Robb rather unpleasantly surprised and he silences for a moment, frowning deeply.]
House Targaryen has perished long ago, my lady. [Together with their mad king and their prince who has been responsible for his aunt’s disappearance.] Not that I do not believe your words, of course.
Those tales have been nothing but rumors. Strange stories told by fishermen. There are not many who believe them. [Not that he wants to talk her down. But, gods be good, she cannot go and think to have a claim on the North. And another Targaryen on the Iron Throne...no, they were even more mad.]
They speak of dragons and what not.
They speak the truth, then. I have three dragons, as I'm sure your fishermen have told you. I plan to take back my throne with them, Lord Stark. I also have an army of 8,000 strong.
[Yes, that means the North too.]
I can imagine the North is rather tired of Lannisters sitting on the throne, don't you agree?
Once you sit upon the Iron Throne we will speak of alliances. [He says it with a strict but kind voice.] The North remembers, my lady. [And even he knows of how his uncle got boiled alive by the mad Targaryen king and how his aunt got taken by an evenly mad prince.]
[And that brisk iron to her voice is gone, softening to something else. She knows she can't win the Starks allegiance with an iron fist. She wants them to understand she knows exactly how it feels to have your home stripped from you, to have nothing left and no one you're sure to trust but those closest.]
I only wish to go home. Kings Landing is my home and I am tired of seeing my home burn.
[Surely he can relate to that?]
We are not our fathers, Lord Stark. We can only carry on from the ashes of what they built before us.
It is better we speak of these matters in person instead of through the communicator. [There is too much of a history between his house and that of hers to flat out believe her. Robb Stark is not known for making the right choices, yet he not entirely gullible.]
My lady, claiming a throne is a different thing than just having a wish to go home. I do not think our situations compare. [Does she know that Winterfell burned?] We are not. [He shakes his head, knowing what she means. Maybe he should keep an open mind. But that will come later, not now.]
But our houses differ. Our beliefs differ. And the North will not forgive its king to side with you, my lady.
[And she might just bring Tyrion along, but that is debatable.]
I understand your position, Lord Stark - I do, but, all the same, it would be a stronger alliance to have the seven kingdoms together than divided. The Lannisters play their politics and divided my kingdoms and the Baratheons burn it to the ground along with them. What was your part in the War? Why did you name the North as separate in the first place?
[She knows enough to know that it was triggered by Ned Stark's death, as Ser Barristan had told her Joffrey had executed him, but it brought her no pleasure to be dragging the answers out of Robb all the same.]
And this woman... She claims to have dragons and a right on the Iron Throne. She claims to be a Targaryen as well. Why would a Targaryen ask for the aid of a Stark? Gods be good, why wasn’t he better at politics? His lady mother would have known what to do.
Her questions are oddly funny. He never declared the North’s independence. It were his men. They decided to bend the knee, to not accept any other commands but those coming from the mouth of their king.]
Does that truly matter, my lady?
[Robb is not going to tell her anything about how he got his crown. A boy made king by his men, that is all he is.]
King Joffrey has wronged our house and angered the North by branding my lord father a traitor. House Lannister decided to march to Riverrun for a siege. If any of them expects us to bend the knee they are wrong.
House Lannister has wronged many houses in the Seven Kingdoms. Mine and House Martell, and your own if I've heard the right of it.
[Quentyn Martell had come asking for her hand. She would have taken it had she not already been promised to Hizdar, if only for a stronger political claim to the throne. They could hardly refuse a Targaryen who had dragons and one of the seven great houses behind her.]
All the more reason we shouldn't join against them instead of being divided, don't you think?
[The only boon for him was that she expected the North to remain when she took her throne.]
[Robb cocks his head a little and sighs. In a way he had not expected to talk politics in the middle of space right now.
She seems rather eager for the North’s alliance as well. And maybe, if he would lose the Freys after his uncle’s wedding... Still, his men would not have it, he himself would not have it either.
But there could be conditions.]
I will think of it. [That is all he can say.]
Good, that is all I can ask.
[Robb nods deeply before he disconnects, quite sure that the North would not agree to any alliance with a Targaryen. Or a woman looking like one.]
