001 ♛ Video;
Who: Daenerys Targaryen
Broadcast: Fleetwide video.
Action: She can be found on the Hospitality Deck of the Marsiva if anyone wants to find her wandering around.
When: Today!
[Daenerys hadn't even had fortnight to settle in, to take in the situation she's found herself in. One moment she was in the almost safety of Drogon's company and the next she was surrounded by Dothraki. Now? She was.... looking at a strange speaking device? She learned enough that people could communicate with it, but not enough right away on how to do so herself. It takes her a moment to figure it out and when she finally does, her violet eyes are still wide with concern on the video feed. Once she realizes it's working, she tries to go for a more calm and assertive outward appearance.]
To think that such a place would be capable of stealing so many from their homes. I can't imagine the ransom they'd be seeking. I wish to speak to whoever thought it wise to attempt such a feat and if any others can provide valuable information, mayhap you'll receive a reward from me in return.
[Mostly her eternal gratitude, given that she had little else on her person in the way of money. Carefully, she tucks a stray silver lock behind her ear. She wanted to ask where Drogon was and yet she knew outright asking her captors where they'd taken her dragon might be too foolish of a thing to attempt.]

[Asked in genuine curiosity, though she is keen to see how well Daenerys has done being a ruler. She knows it's not an easy task.]

[It definitely wasn't easy. She'd had to make some hard decisions.]
Those who are loyal to me are as safe as I can make them.
[You know... when her dragons aren't eating their children or their livestock.]

You'll always make enemies. Someone will never be pleased with what you do. Someone will not benefit from your rule and wish to change it. An awful reality, but it comes with the territory.
[And she realizes she's said a bit too much, enough that it could be construed that she knows what it's like to be a ruler.]
Do many follow you?
no subject
[An observation and a valuable one at that. She could use more experienced friends. The more the merrier, in fact.]
Several thousand slaves turn to me for protection. As to whether they all follow me with certainty, I can't say. I'm sure some have doubts that haven't reached my ears yet.
[She'd learned that much, given how easily the factions sprang into being. She had some who were loyal to her, however. The Shavepates shaved their heads as a mark of change from the way things had been in Mereen before her and now had become under her rule. Shaving your head didn't keep you alive, however and it made them easy targets for the Sons of the Harpy.]

In a sense. Being of noble birth, I studied much about governing and the toils of rule. My father was teyrn, and although it was expected my brother would succeed, I needed to learn should the worst happen to him.
[Totally believable, right? And honestly, it is true. She's just omitting a couple things... mainly that she's had to put her lessons to practice.]
And they were recently freed, if I understand what you told me correctly? [She mentioned the "Masters", so she's just making the logical assumption that those Masters owned the slaves. And she's really hoping Dany didn't try and keep them as slaves...]

[That's pretty close to what she was fine with weedling out of her. She won't pry if she doesn't want to talk about certain things.]
Yes, every one of them are free under my rule. I mean to keep it that way, even as others disagree.
[And she was proud of the fact that she had freed these people from slavery. No one deserved growing up in chains.]

Yes, I was. Feels like a lifetime ago, though. [She can scarcely believe it hasn't even been two years yet since her family died.]
As I hope you would. Terrible how resistant to change people are, isn't it? [Oh, she could go on all damn day about that. And it horrifies and disgusts her what people will cling onto for the sole sake of tradition.]
