[A pretty, pale-skinned woman with "sea green" (I don't write the canon narration, okay) eyes is holding the communicator too close to her face. Depending on your frame of reference, she looks like a blond Vulcan or a more or less unremarkable elf, and she's wearing an expression of slightly exasperated concentration. And she is definitely talking to herself.]

Aww man, I bet Starkphones are better than this.

[She's accidentally turned on the broadcast, you see, because she's from the early 90s and how does personal electronics that aren't from Atlantis. Quick study, though, and she giggles a little as she realizes she's transmitting.]

Whoops. Hi, everybody. My name's Nita, nice to meet you, can someone tell me how to record a voicemail greeting on this please and thank you?

[Obviously it has to have voicemail, duh.

Technological hiccups notwithstanding, Nita seems quite unbothered by having been kidnapped into space, and she settles back, pulling her long ponytail forward over a bare shoulder as she does so to avoid pinning herself to the seat by her own hair. The new angle reveals that she's wearing a scaly green bathing suit and not much else...and she's seemingly unbothered by that, too, looking at the feed with an expectant, friendly smile.]

[Her elbow resting on the back of her seat, Nita props her chin in one hand.]

How 'bout an introduction before we start delving into my genealogy?

[He realizes that maybe he shouldn't assume just based on the familiar Stark name... especially because of the confusion that caused with another Stark family that's part of the Fleet.]

What makes it so different from a normal cell phone? [Kurt, from the naive ages of the early 00s.]

[Nita smiles warmly. She's one of the few comics people who might recognize Peggy Carter, by name if not appearance, but without being given a last name, it wouldn't occur to her.]

Um... okay? [That's a weird ass answer but he won't dig.]

Well, we got Earth alright. I guess that's some common ground... so what about mutants? Do they, um, exist where you're from? [By now he's come to see that other Earths don't seem to have mutant populations.]

[And not shy about it, apparently.]

Whoa, really? [Well that's a cool surprise! It's always heartening to see someone admit it so casually.]

Dude, me too! High five! [He makes a high five (or perhaps rather high three) motion at the air.]

I hope you don't find the question too forward, but -- of which Stark, in particular, are we speaking?

[ To be fair, he legitimately doesn't know what a 'mutant' is - nothing to be offended about there! But at her question, he startles a little. ]

[Nita laughs and high-fives the air in return.]

[Nita offers a hand to shake, but she'll roll with a wrist-clasp, too. That's how they do it in Atlantis.]

Anyway, Atlanteans are from the empire of Atlantis. Black eyes, blue skin, and pointy ears. I'm half Atlantean and half human, so I look like a mix of the two races.

[She'll just leave the water-breathing part out for the moment.]

Oh man, that'd be cool.

[She can tow him.]

How's your darkvision, though? We could stay closer to the surface if you'd be blind.

[Nita's not clear on his entire power set.]

C-cute? ...Er, uh, what I meant to see is... Hey, you never know! There's people from all kinds of different worlds up here. I could have turned out to be some real live elf, or a funky alien!

[That. Actually does sound like most of the 'evil ones' he's dealt with, so. Point's to you, Nita.]

You run into that sort of thing a lot, I'm guessing?

[That's a good question. He looks thoughtful.]

Low light to very low light should be acceptable, but I would have difficulty in extreme darkness. I do have a light, but I suppose that might draw unwanted attention.

Aha, the prodigal son. [ who (last she checked) is still rattling around this fleet in his own special way. ]
