Who: margaery tyrell.
Broadcast: fleet wide.
Action: Marsiva ; hospitality deck
When: current
[ the girl who sits in front of the camera seems as if she is quite well-versed in this manner of communication. if she had spent precious time watching others from afar before trying her hand at it as to not look foolish, it does not show. the only hint of how foreign she is to this setting is her manner of dress but give it a few seconds and you might start thinking this is somehow natural, too.
after all, she does seem very comfortable. Margaery's smile is sweet and bright, her hair is flowing down her shoulders and a few roses are placed neatly in her lap, almost a portrait-worthy moment before she speaks. ]
If I am not entirely mistaken, these are our best chance of speaking to one another. I did not wish to appear ill-mannered in failing to introduce myself.
[ to her fellow hostages and to the audience watching. she made certain to appear especially lovely for this. if they love you from the first moment, they shall be yours forever if you mind your step. ]
I am Margaery of House Tyrell; some of you I had the pleasure of meeting already and as for the rest, I am eager to speak to you as soon as it pleases you. I understand we are to spend quite some time together and it would please me to know each and every one of you. I am certain you have fascinating tales to tell of your time here or where you come from; if you ever wish to share, I shall be honored to provide company. I know little of such vessels and adventures but I am keen to learn all that I may.
[ and win whatever game this is. she dips her chin, a humble gesture. ]
For now, I hope I am welcome among you and dearly hope this finds you well.

For now, I hope I am welcome among you and dearly hope this finds you well.

[ He dips his chin lightly. Frigga would like this lovely lady immediately, so proper in bearing and clear in speech. ]
If we exchange certainties, your Lord father is blessed to have you as well. What is your land called?

[ one she would make certain to remember. it seems as if this world is wise enough to draw the powerful ones into its boundaries. if there are any inner politics among them remains to be seen. ]
Westeros, your Grace, Seven kingdoms brought together under one king.
[ who she was to marry before this has happened. ]
My home is named Highgarden, it is the castle my family has held for generations.

[ Gardens bear trees, and flowers. She is the latter. ]
Asgard is one of Nine Realms, under the protection of my father. I know little of Westeros, tell me of Highgarden.

[ king's landing will always pale in comparison ]
We have the best fruit in Highgarden, as well and we are all passionate of art, music and songs and dance. Is Asgard the same? do you dance?

[ Should he... really correct the Your Grace business, Thor doesn't bother with titles too often. His friends address him familiarly, but Margaery so far has acted exactly as he expects one of her station to act. She adheres to her decorum. She is as new here as he is, it may be her armour, he does not wish to disrespect her. Perhaps he should let it go for now, and insist on something less formal when he knows her better. ]
Asgard is a golden city — I speak plainly and without bias [ he winks at her ]. The bravery of her warriors lives on forever in songs and stories, and her sorcerers are amongst the most skilled in all the Nine Realms.

[ in westeros, it is firmly believed magic died with the last of the dragons. margaery knows little of what to believe in the matter. there are always whispers of elderly women who know how to brew odd potions and poisons but that is naught more than hearsay. ]
what manner of magic can they perform?
no subject
[ A beat. ]
I command storms.

[ she smiles up at him, already giddy at the concept. ]
Would that we could step outside, I would be thrilled to see.

[ He winks again. Mjolnir is not here, he has the understanding of magic but not its conduit, it would be dangerous to attempt. ]

[ and with the way her beloved husband to be's mind works, he is likely to get her the heads of his traitor for her seven-and-ten name day and expect praise. ]

[ she thinks of it before brightening again ]
Mayhaps one day I shall wake up and choose it to be my name day.
no subject
Come prepared, then.
no subject
[ easily; a moment passes before she asks ]
And your name day, my Prince?

[ she laughs, shakes her head a little ]
Am I to be trusted with such an important day? I shall have to think of it carefully.
no subject
[ Lightly said. She has not proven herself truly, but Thor will trust until he no longer has a reason to. ]
no subject
[ she nods, expression terribly serious before she breaks out in a smile again ]
Very well. It shall have to be a very special day, then. One worthy of a prince.

[ They've come to a dead end, it seems. Thor nods politely to excuse himself and skims his hands over the panels of the wall. ]
Alas, there is no door. We must turn back.
