[ the girl who sits in front of the camera seems as if she is quite well-versed in this manner of communication. if she had spent precious time watching others from afar before trying her hand at it as to not look foolish, it does not show. the only hint of how foreign she is to this setting is her manner of dress but give it a few seconds and you might start thinking this is somehow natural, too.

after all, she does seem very comfortable. Margaery's smile is sweet and bright, her hair is flowing down her shoulders and a few roses are placed neatly in her lap, almost a portrait-worthy moment before she speaks. ]

If I am not entirely mistaken, these are our best chance of speaking to one another. I did not wish to appear ill-mannered in failing to introduce myself.

[There are twenty-nine planets in the Lattice, and if any dark corners of them hold to that sort of nonsense she hasn't stumbled into them as yet. Of course, she's set foot on less than half of them, but she's met folks from all of them, and even on Aegis... well, they discriminate by class, education, but never sex.

Also give her a moment, because she's going to pack up her communicator and head to the Three Twins' airlock. She demonstrates its use, explaining the various components - in simpler terms now that she's got her wits about her once more - and when she's finished,]

Where I come from, I am to be queen. I admit I want little else, my people do need their queen to stand by their side.

[Well colour her impressed. Given that her culture clearly isn't a meritocracy (at least so far as women are concerned) it's probably a matter of-- what, birthright? Monarchies are rare in her age, and Shai hasn't been given over to the study of history.]

[ would that it could be birthright. margaery's betrothed, though keen on marrying her, is hardly the person she would care to share a bed and a life with but there is little choice in the matter and so she would pretend to love and adore him all the same. ]
