Who: margaery tyrell.
Broadcast: fleet wide.
Action: Marsiva ; hospitality deck
When: current
[ the girl who sits in front of the camera seems as if she is quite well-versed in this manner of communication. if she had spent precious time watching others from afar before trying her hand at it as to not look foolish, it does not show. the only hint of how foreign she is to this setting is her manner of dress but give it a few seconds and you might start thinking this is somehow natural, too.
after all, she does seem very comfortable. Margaery's smile is sweet and bright, her hair is flowing down her shoulders and a few roses are placed neatly in her lap, almost a portrait-worthy moment before she speaks. ]
If I am not entirely mistaken, these are our best chance of speaking to one another. I did not wish to appear ill-mannered in failing to introduce myself.
[ to her fellow hostages and to the audience watching. she made certain to appear especially lovely for this. if they love you from the first moment, they shall be yours forever if you mind your step. ]
I am Margaery of House Tyrell; some of you I had the pleasure of meeting already and as for the rest, I am eager to speak to you as soon as it pleases you. I understand we are to spend quite some time together and it would please me to know each and every one of you. I am certain you have fascinating tales to tell of your time here or where you come from; if you ever wish to share, I shall be honored to provide company. I know little of such vessels and adventures but I am keen to learn all that I may.
[ and win whatever game this is. she dips her chin, a humble gesture. ]
For now, I hope I am welcome among you and dearly hope this finds you well.

Oh, well, some tales, I suppose, but most of them are messy and involve decapitations. Of darkspawn. Not people, I don't... do that.
[ Well, a few people, but only ones who deserved it! ]
video;
[ she seems entirely unfazed by the severity of the subject. a lady is expected to gasp and be scandalized but margaery knows when to build the image and when to step away from it. ]
I promise, I shall not faint.
video;
[ He can't really be much more specific than that. What else is there to say? ]
They brought the Blight with them, but we stopped it!
video;
[ she smiles, more comfortable now than most girls would have been but it does sound like an exciting manner of a battle. ]
How does one kill them? With a sword?
video;
[ He can't help but puff up a little at her praise. ]
And yes, swords. Or a maul, or a staff, or whatever other weapon you can find. But you have to be careful, because their blood is poison.
video;
[ at his next words, she hums in interest. ]
poison? how so? does it hurt the skin?
video;
[ He rubs at his jaw a little, humming thoughtfully. ]
You - need to be a good fighter, yes. And... strong-willed, I suppose. I dunno, it's hard to describe what it's like to become one.
And, uh, well, it just makes you sick, if you're exposed to it too much, you know? And then you die. It's very bad, very nasty.
video;
[ said cheerfully ]
do you favor it?
video;
And the scenery? It's... nice? I mean, it's weird that it's always dark out the windows, isn't it?
video;
[ roses without sunlight may wither but a good thing this rose is quite capable of adjusting ]
I suppose we must hope to one day reach a place where it can be - seen and felt.
