[Waking up in a place he didn't recognise, but knew instantly was nowhere like back home was unfortunately, a familiar feeling.

Waking up without his right arm, also, happened not to be an unfamiliar sensation. The fact that it had been healed, and all of his clothes repaired however, was as new for him as it was pleasant.

Naruto's understanding of the importance of his communicator, and surprisingly - the way it worked hadn't concerned him in the slightest, but it's several hours after his arrival on board the hospitality deck that he finally chooses to direct his attention to it. Fed, watered, and as clued up on what was going on as he could ever be without someone to direct his questions at left him here.

As soon as he starts recording his transmission, he gets right to the point. There's no familiar smile on his face, in fact - he looks bored. Fed up, probably. Their fight had ended, things were supposed to be getting better but now he's here.]

Know there's gotta be someone out there who can tell me what's up. Ain't Adstring, and it ain't Asgard. Who's controllin' everything? Who do we have t'fight this time? Why's it dark out. A guy called Madara didn't try an' steal the moon or something, right?

[He looks familiar to her. Didn't Itachi know him? She didn't remember him being in the prison long though.]

Moon's safe as far as I know.

Atroma seems to be the one or ones pulling the strings. Haven't been here a week yet myself, so I'm still trying to figure out where we're at with enemies and escape plans.

[ god he would recognize that annoying voice anywhere, and he's about to pointedly say so, when naruto says the magic word. and he's been sort of keeping quiet to himself, because his life is actual garbage lately, BUT.

[ -- and then he notices the missing arm, and immediately his brow furrows, because sasuke is missing an arm too, and --

it's been awhile since rei has actually legitimately grinned, but boy, is she thrilled. ]

[ rei looks a little older than when naruto last saw her, but her overall appearance hasn't changed much. she notices that missing arm, but doesn't say anything -- yet, anyway. she'll beat him up later. ]

Sasuke is here. I'm sure he'll be happy to see you, or as happy as he gets.

[Forgive him. Putting two and two together and getting five is still a mammoth task. He's on three, give him a minute.]

Hey, I know you. Well, the you I knew. I think. Zuko, right?

[But then-- well. Talk of his arm makes him look directly at the one in question, and he awkwardly shifts his shoulder, grinning when the sleeve of his jacket wiggles limply.]

Yeah well--

[Wait.

Wait.]

You know Sasuke? Sasuke's here?

[Excuse him. There's movement. The communicator drops forward, slamming against the table and plunging Zuko into darkness. It's plucked up again a second later, he's stood up now, excitement all over his face.]

Is it you? It's really you and Sasuke's here? Is this a spaceship? It's real right?

... Okay, I've got a guide to explain everything, but first I have to ask.

How exactly does one steal a moon?

You're kiddin' right? There's gotta be a moon somewhere?

Everyone who has been captured for this? Everyone you've ever known and loved? Everyone in the multiverse? [She shakes her head.]

You get here and you're on that ship—The Marsiva. The only other people with you are whoever has been abducted recently since the last shuffle. When it shuffles you'll get thrown out to one of the ships in the fleet which is where everyone else is if they aren't hanging out at the space station. Clear?

[ WELL THAT CONFIRMS THAT GOD SASUKE IS SO STUPID ]

It's not the Sasuke from Adstringendum. He doesn't have any memories from there, and he didn't know who I was when he got here.

[ just clearing that up before naruto starts, because zuko is so not having a pissed off irritable sasuke at his door complaining that zuko gave naruto false information

oddly, though, zuko looks pretty at peace with that, considering how close he was with sasuke in adstringendum. this sasuke and him have been practically inseparable since he got here, so it's slowly getting worked out. kinda. ]

But he's here. Also missing an arm.

[ THE SALT IS SO REAL ]

[No way. She's older though, what is with that? Is it her? He's leaning right up close to get a good look for course, wiggling the screen around...]

[Line face to grin in 2 seconds.

and here come the questions.]

Is he still little? What does he remember? Where is he? Where is everyone? Where are you?

I dunno, I think he said he was gonna steal it, or do something to it to make it look like it wasn't there. Something about an eye? It was weird, okay?

[ Naruto might look annoyed, but Ino looks delighted to see him. ]

Naruto...!

[ Apparently it's finally Konoha's lucky day, as far as ending up on reality shows go. ]

[Yes. Yes. Sasuke is the stupidest. Can he get that in writing? Actually. Verbal confirmation is enough if this thing holds data.]

Oh.

[At least at first it's not so cool, but the fact that he smiles as soon as he hears that Sasuke is missing an arm too could be cause for alarm, or-- it could just make sense like everything else about them does in the way that it never makes sense.]

You know where he is? I gotta talk to him. Can't believe he's here. An' you too. You weren't in Asgard. I guess this place is just as messed up as everything else.

Ino!

[No way! That's enough to put a smile on his face, and maybe he's about to wipe that pretty one from hers because--]

Sakura-chan's here too, right?!

He might be on my ship somewhere.

[ asgard. naruto has said that twice now. ]

You're on the Marsiva until you get shuffled -- you can't leave it yet. You'll be able to once they figure out where you're going, if they haven't already.

[ there's a slight pause ]

Did you go to a place called Asgard after Adstringendum?

Ah-- no.

[ She doesn't exactly stop smiling, but her grin does get toned down a little bit. ]

It's just been me and Sasuke. So -- [ About that missing arm ... ] -- you're from after the war, too?

[They were like bffs without the-- best bit?]

Oh. I guess it really is like Adstring an' Asgard then, huh?

[Sad, but not sad. He'd come to enjoy his time away. Even if it came with it's uncertainties, but now! He has the word at his feet of course!]

It shuffles? That's weird. So... where are you? You on a ship or this Marsiva place?

Your ship? He's with you? Is he--

[Right. Time to listen. For a little while at least. The news that he was stuck here is about as souring as something really sour and it shows, but he keeps on listening...]

That sucks. Why can't I go where ever you guys are?

[Grumpily, he'll give up his news though.]

Not right after. Went home for a bit. Bunch of stuff happened. Then I went to that Asgard place. Bunch of other different people there. Then back home and-- yeah. Guess I'm here now.

Oh.

[Maybe there's a moment where he mourns that loss - but as always he bounces back, right into their good old favourite topic.]

Yeah! We did it. Hey, wait. When're you from?

[Because... did Sasuke tell her?]

[ Ah it wasn't so long ago that Alisaie was in the same situation so she can relate a bit. Why, she can even relate with bad guys trying to steal the moon as well which is admittedly what drew her attention. ]

This Madara... does he hail from the Garlean Empire? [ She's never met a Miqo'te with ears so maybe his parents were Hyur and Miqo'te together?

Yeah, she's just going to think of Naruto as half-catboy. Enjoy. ]

[ She wishes Sakura were here too, man. Maybe someday ... ]

Before that. Well -- in the middle of it. But Sasuke told me about what happened.

I'm glad you're all right. You're stuck on the Marsiva for now, but it should only be a day or two before you get assigned a smaller ship and you can travel wherever.

[Wait until he works out that moon stealing isn't as weird a practice as he once thought!]

No, he's not still little. He doesn't remember Adstringendum, or any other world. He's been assigned to the Huntress, but I don't know where he is right this minute. Who is everyone? And I'm on the space station finishing my lunch.
