[ The video starts, but it would be easy to assume at first that the young man featured in it was still asleep. He's got a grey beanie shoved over his eyes in a manner that was definitely intentional. But after a long moment, he groans and sits up, pulling the beanie up so he can see what he's doing. ]

...Ugh. Where...

[ He does notice the camera after a moment, and he freezes. It's with an entirely unhappy scowl that he turns away after a moment, looking around. ]

What the hell is this?

[ He didn't ask for this, and he definitely doesn't seem impressed to be the latest member of intergalactic reality television. ]

[ Which is probably the closest he'll ever get to an intentional confession, even if he choked on it the last time they met. ]

[ He waves it off. ]

Nothing. I was wool-gathering.

I'm feeling my age lately.

I'm still not actually sure how old that is. You look like a teenager, but I know you're not quite...

[ He gestures expansively. ]

At least I will always have my good looks.

[ It's a good thing that Dune's not privy to Shinjiro's Inner Mind Theater, because there's a lot of strangling down about ten or twenty responses he's actually thinking before he gets one out. As it is, he tugs on his beanie slightly, trying to cover his face just in case he's blushing. (He is.) ]

[ Pfft. He's graceful enough not to laugh at that expression. ]

[ LOOK. Just because Shinjiro won't let himself have nice things doesn't mean he's blind. ]
